Historia
The Death Star is destroyed. Darth Vader is dead. The Empire is desolate. But on the forest moon of Endor, among the chaos of a changing galaxy, time stands still for a princess and her scoundrel. After being frozen in carbonite, then risking everything for the Rebellion, Han is eager to stop living his life for other people. He and Leia have earned their future together, a thousand times over. And when he proposes to Leia, it’s the first time in a long time he’s had a good feeling about this. For Leia, a lifetime of fighting doesn’t seem truly over.

Historia
It is a tale of ghosts, of madness, of revenge - of old alliances giving way to new intrigues. Denmark is changing, shaking off its medieval past. War with Norway is on the horizon. And Hamlet - son of the old king, nephew of the new - becomes increasingly entangled in a web of deception - and murder. Beautifully performed by actor Richard Armitage ("Thorin Oakenshield" in the Hobbit films), Hamlet, Prince of Denmark takes Shakespeare’s original into unexpected realms, reinventing a story we thought we knew.

Phenomenal

I have yet to ever make it through any variation of Hamlet before (and goodness have I tried), but this one was phenomenal! The narrator was perfect with the prose & the story pulled me along like a fast paced thriller.

Historia
Sixteen-year-old Boy’s never left home. When you’re the son of Frankenstein’s monster and the Bride, it’s tough to go out in public, unless you want to draw the attention of a torch-wielding mob. Boy’s only interactions with the world are through the Internet, where he’s a hacker extraordinaire who can hide his hulking body and stitched-together face behind a layer of code. When conflict erupts at home, Boy runs away and embarks on a cross-country road trip with the granddaughters of Jekyll and Hyde, who introduce him to malls and diners, love and heartbreak.

Where does Man Made Boy rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Very high.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Man Made Boy?
The ending.
Which character – as performed by Jon Skovron – was your favorite?
Definitely Jeykl & Hyde.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes!
Any additional comments?
The story made me laugh, cry, feel good, feel bad - it just tugged at my heart, and somehow Jon made monsters seem "normal" and Boy was just your "average teenager" (except that he wasn't - something Jon managed to balance quite well). I absolutely loved the way the story wrapped up - it was perfect. There was loss and worthwhile sacrifice along with love and hope. I finished the book happily satisfied, and definitely recommend it for older YA Lit, New Adult, and Adult readers.
