Bad narration

Liked the story, but hard to get thru because the narration sounded like everyone was either a ditzy teen or a simmpering elder

Easy read but powerful messgae. Extra special because it had yarn in the story. So glad I foind this. This book was mentioned on a christian crocheters site on Facebook. I really enjoyed it.

Great story, Painfully bad narration

Good story but.......

I do not think of myself as a prude but I just do not see the sense in soooo much fowl language. Leave it for a monumentous event or moment maybe, but when there is no conversations without f bombs and so on it is ridiculous. These two people are suposed to be well educated, in the public eye, conscientious people. Seems to me they would not have gotten that far with constant gutter talk.

Wanted to like it

I thought the summary sounded really good and I am no prude and don't mind some sex in my stories. When not even fifteen to twenty minutes had passed and I have heard the F word so many times and a graphic oral sex scene where it was no more then grabbing hair and pumping her head. I knew this was beyond a little sex. Even the female lead was " oh how I remember the way he F---ed me" Really wanted to follow the story line which sounded compelling but sex was degraded to the point of nasty. Returned this one.

I enjoyed this, not a lot of graphic sex, thank goodness, but not candy sweet tame either. Good story line, if a little predictable. great characters, actually my least favorite was Maggie, the main character. Ruby was great as was Hans and Doug. Lets just say the supporting cast was wonderful.

I just can't decide if it is the narrator or the story as a whole but I found this to be very mediocre. Story was a good idea but just not fully realized, characters were ok but just not fleshed out enough, narrator was not bad but ...... Not sure I will continue with this series. Oh and every time you turned around someone was slamming a hand, a cup, a glass or what ever down . A personal thing I know but it irritated me to no end !

As always, Nora Roberts creates a rich environment with deep, exciting characters. The narrator was very good. Throughly enjoyed and am in great anticipation for next book.

Thank you for taking us back to VR. It was delightful to see old friends again. Too bad Netflix destroyed your beautiful stories, and the casting was awful. Here we got to enjoy all the VR residence as we know and love them. No one could narrate these books better.
