Eve has a good life. She wakes up each day, kisses her husband Nate, and heads off to teach math at the local high school. All is as it should be. Except… Last year, Caseham High was rocked by a scandal involving a student-teacher affair, with one student, Addie, at its center. But Eve knows there is far more to these ugly rumors than meets the eye. Addie can’t be trusted. She lies. She hurts people. She destroys lives. At least, that’s what everyone says. But nobody knows the real Addie. Nobody knows the secrets that could destroy her. And Addie will do anything to keep it quiet…

Ugh! Baffled by the good reviews
Revisado: 02-25-24
I did NOT enjoy this book. None of the characters were likable, they were weak and pathetic and not terribly bright. It's a creepy story and I seriously had a hard time finding even one character I wanted to root for. Each character was terribly flawed in some way with no redeeming qualities. I kept going with the book, simply hoping it would get better, but it didn't. Even the twist at the end was unbelievable and creepy. It didn't even make complete sense (um didn't Jay have a wife and a kid at home?? Yet...) I won't give anything away, but generally speaking, I like to feel good when I read a book and this book did the opposite. The narrator was extremely whiny which added to the already annoying characters. Save your credit and get a better book!

Historia
In search of adventure, 29-year-old Conor Grennan traded his day job for a year-long trip around the globe, a journey that began with a three-month stint volunteering at the Little Princes Children's Home, an orphanage in war-torn Nepal. Conor was initially reluctant to volunteer, unsure whether he had the proper skill, or enough passion, to get involved in a developing country in the middle of a civil war. But he was soon overcome by the herd of rambunctious, resilient children.

True story with happy endings❤️

I adored this book. Child trafficking is very real and wide spread. I loved reading this story of a courageous and passionate young man who found himself on a mission to reunite children with their families. It’s heartwarming and quite funny in parts. I was bummed when it ended!

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Fantastic Well Written (and Read) Book By Harry
Revisado: 12-09-23
Ignore all the bad reviews. Haters gonna hate. This book was a very well written account of his life, I loved it. I looked forward to listening every chance I got and thoroughly enjoyed hearing about his life, his adventures in the military, how the loss of his mum shaped his life, how he hated the paparazzi and craved freedom and a sense of purpose more than anything. His desire to find love and have a family of his own was endearing and touching. I think Harry has a lot of heart and soul and carries the same light his mother did. I'm not a big fan of the royal family, so much ridiculous drama and, with it being the 21st century, I'd say queens, kings, princes and princesses are quite archaic and dull. I'm glad he got out of it and is living a better life outside the insanity of the royal family. I'm happy for both Harry and Meghan and don't believe a word the awful press say about them. I wish them a happy life together!

I wanted to LOVE this book, and I did like it, but there was just something missing in it for me. I can't put my finger on it, it was a great story line and all, entertaining but predictable. Just Ok.

What a fun and fabulous book!
Revisado: 03-25-23
I really loved this book! I thought the narrator did a great job and the story was truly delightful. The perfect premise: how would one live their life if they thought they only had one year left to live? This novel takes us on that ride as we follow the main character through a very sad and under-ordinary life and how that all changes, much to the dismay of her family, when she begins to truly live it and makes the very best of what she has left. She wastes no time in making up for what she lost by living well below her potential, by listening to those who kept her down and feeling insignificant. Imagine if we all did that. I absolutely loved it. It was whimsical and such fun!

Wow! This book packed a punch!
Revisado: 03-17-23
What a fantastic Audible book! One of the best I've listened to. This one captured me wholly and I'm blown away by how much it touched my heart. Or, more accurately, punched me in the heart over and over again. A story of loss, love, grief, strength and courage, this book had all my emotions going at once. It surprisingly opened my heart with compassion as I felt connected to the characters as they endured tragedy and loss. At least I was smiling through tears at the end. I normally don't care for sad stories but this book is so much more than that. First loves, bliss, joy, happiness and resolutions make it all worth it. When I was at the last chapter I didn't want the story to end and wanted more. This book will not be easily forgotten and I'll need to take a break before starting another one because this one is going to stay with me for awhile. Truly a 5 star experience and an amazing story based on true events. Loved it. The narrator did a good job overall, but her voices of other characters could use some improving.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I thought the narrator did a fantastic job and while the idea of children catching on fire is somewhat hard to believe, it is actually relatable, heartwarming and funny.

Revisado: 01-28-23
I was completely enthralled by this book and this young girls journey. It’s amazing she survived. I loved hearing about her time with the monkeys the most. They treated her far better than most of her human encounters. Truly such a miraculous story and very well narrated.

Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

An inspiring book!
Revisado: 09-06-22
How I came across this book is an interesting story in and of itself. I was at my annual astrology reading with my favorite gal, Janice. She was encouraging me to write my book and had your book on display in her bookcase. She told me a brief story of how you came to write it and it inspired me to take her encouragement more seriously. A month later I had the intuitive thought that this book would contain some golden nuggets for me and that I should read it. I found it on Audible and listened to it over the course of two days and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it! An incredulous story of loss, grief, trauma and hardship and the beautiful gifts that can come out of these experiences when we are determined to never give up. This is a book full of great reminders on always getting back up when knocked down, to get out of your comfort zone, to live your passion, to always give to others, even when you think you don’t have anything to give and to be your own mentor. This book inspires you to continually put yourself out there so you may receive all the gifts life practically begs to give you. You simply have to be open to them, take risks, follow gut instincts and most important of all, be in service to others. Those are where the best gifts come from. ❤️
