Historia
In this exuberantly praised book - a collection of seven pieces on subjects ranging from television to tennis, from the Illinois State Fair to the films of David Lynch, from postmodern literary theory to the supposed fun of traveling aboard a Caribbean luxury cruiseliner - David Foster Wallace brings to nonfiction the same curiosity, hilarity, and exhilarating verbal facility that has delighted readers of his fiction.

Good audiobook. Reader was expressive and seemed to get DFW's sense of humor.

Historia
There's a reason We Are Legion was named Audible's Best Science Fiction Book of 2016: Its irresistibly irreverent wit! Bob Johansson has just sold his software company for a small fortune and is looking forward to a life of leisure. The first item on his to-do list: Spending his newfound windfall. On an urge to splurge, he signs up to have his head cryogenically preserved in case of death. Then he gets himself killed crossing the street. Waking up 117 years later, Bob discovers his mind has been uploaded into a sentient space probe with the ability to replicate itself.

A good, geeky story.
Revisado: 11-29-16
This was a good listen.
I think most people know what they're getting into here, but I'll avoid spoilers anyway.
It was a good story with space battles, exploration of distant galaxies, planetary strife, biology, anthropology, physics and computer science mixed in. All without forcing and logically within the confines of the story
Plenty of humor.
The reader was solid, and used a lot of different voices for the clones.
Recommended. Not the "hardest" sci-fi, but a move up from the average stuff.

I liked the reader. Best I can say.

This pertains to the audiobook version. The reader was solid. Good solid read. Worked with the voices just the right amount, but based on what he was given, I feel sorry for him.
This is a crap book. I didn't know why I didn't look into the author before starting it.
Descriptions and characters are cliché ridden.
I felt like I was promised a science fiction story with an interesting take on alternate realities and the multiverse. Instead, this is just a basic basic "thriller" that uses the multiverse conceit to allow his characters to chase each other around and climb through windows and put guns in each other's backs.
They might as well have been chasing a briefcase full of money around.

Historia
By turns tender and terrifying, Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff captures America on the verge of political upheaval in 2016 and introduces us to a man who just might be able to save us from the oncoming horror. Yes, Bob Honey - carnival carny, sewage specialist, and government operative, among other occupations - has spent years in preparation, crisscrossing the world in the employ of a mysterious government program that pays in small bills.

Sometimes, you just need to listen to weird stuff
Revisado: 10-27-16
This was a good listen (although, the sibilance was distracting. We haven't fixed that yet?)
This was just a good week long commute listen. The comical voice of Bob Honey was great. Fun to hear him riff on this and that and revisit the characters who popped up early and then disappeared.
An odd ball journey through modern times. Not sure of Penns connection to Pappy or Bob. I sort of suspect he's both.
Can't complain about anything for zero dollars.
