If you're not a Vegan, don't bother starting.

Fair space opera. Sometimes the performances are a little shaky, Very, very long. I got very tired of having vegetarianism and veganism thrown in my face, so quit. I found the author -- shall we say -- less than enthusiastic to hear my complain of such things. His response was childish.

Starts slow, but a good exciting story after that

Listed as a series, but there is only one book so far (just my luck). Looking forward to follow on books. Good adventure story if you can dig through the jargon of the technology (might be a problem for some). But the story moves right along after the ground work is laid.

His crew of strays and misfits includes an engineer of dubious sanity, a deposed planetary governor, an annoyingly unflappable Sexbot copilot, and a slinky weapons chief who stubbornly refuses to give the captain a tumble.

None, even the story line was poor and the writing style made it impossible to get into it.
Any additional comments?
If there were a Rotten Tomato's edition for books, this one would be right up there. I'm not sure if the author was trying to be cute or capture a story telling style of the 40's or 50's, but this book makes the dated style of even the Lensmen Series look up to date and non-gender biased.

I have no idea why someone would want to read a book (or series) like this, but if this doesn't turn your stomach maybe this is the type of book for you.
Would you ever listen to anything by Laura Antoniou again?
