Can't believe this made it to audiobook

The writing is amateurish and immature. It reminds me of a tweens fantasy, written with approximately that much skill.

interesting start

Story starts off slow, but gets more interesting. The narrator's inconsistent English accent can be pretty distracting.

using a thesaurus does not make a better writer

To be honest I could not past more than a few chapters. The narrator had a distracting and slow, nasal voice. Along with the heavily overused 50 cent words it was all distracting to the possible story. The story also puttered along and I found myself forwarding entire chapters.

narrator made it hard to listen

the narrator sounds like a Jersey housewife with a little girl voice, mispronouncing a noticeable amount of words. I never thought about how popular the letter A is until that point. The story itself would have been much better if I wasn't so distracted by her voice. Some of the story borrows too heavily into the stereotypical, generic paranormal teenage girl genre. Overall it was entertaining enough to keep me listening.

11 hours of the H being an immature, stupid doormat was grating on the nerves. She had absolutely no leadership skills or competence to make me believe that she should have been the leader of the crew of thieves. Zoe was not a force to effect anything, but rather a ping pong ball guided by absolutely every single person around her. 3 stars because the story was interesting enough to make me finish it. I just wish the H had been written with more of a brain. Not sure how a supposed master thief could just jump into every harebrained idea that pops into her head saying all the while that there is no choice.

what is a Vietnamese waltz? the narrator doesn't pronounce certain words correctly and sometimes speaks as if she is reciting a grocery list. The author overwrites practically every sentence as if a thesaurus is changing a word in every sentence into a 25 cent one.

like others before me, I agree there were serious problems with the male narrator. He had a pseudo Irish? accent going, even tho the MC is Canadian. His voice was also very distracting in a (the female narrator did a better manly voice). She was great. Story wise, it was entertaining, but beware the repetitive use of words like monster cock and beaver. Honestly beaver became less of a running joke and just plain annoying.
