very sweet story for all ages

After reading positive reviews, I went ahead and bought this. My 17year daughter and I listened to this while doing some chores together and on a short road trip.We both loved the story... suitable for all ages and not just for kids. Definitely a "feel good" story with an upbeat message about love and friendship. The performance was very good too! Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this audiobook... you'll be glad you did.

Excellent FIRST Book - Amazing story

I haven't read a lot of science fiction books so I don't have a lot to compare this to, but I enjoyed listening to Rise very much. The world as we know it is completely blown apart... such an interesting concept and like nothing I've ever read. It makes the whole setting strange yet oddly familiar. The characters were authentic and relatable. I'm glad I stepped outside my normal genres and listened to this. The narrator did a good job with the different characters. I'm looking forward to the next book to find out what happens next!
