Historia
Harper Wilson and all her siblings were relieved when they received the notice of their parents’ demise. No one deserved it more, and the only reason Harper agreed to go back to that little town in Ohio was to make sure they were truly dead. Bryant Prince and his family were immortals and hadn’t aged since they’d reached the age of 28. He and his family had always lived next door to the Wilsons, but he never knew the Wilson children. Drawn in by dark, morbid memories from her childhood, Harper wound up here. Bryant watched her, knowing that he’d found his mate.

Another wonderful story by Kathi S Barton
Revisado: 11-04-22
The story is one of the best that Kathi has written. However the reader did such a disservice to the storyline. He repeats some of the lines twice and where he tries to use different voices for the characters he screws that up consistently. His voice is very annoying to listen to - like someone taking and raking there nails down a chalkboard. Hopefully Kathi can get Liona Gem - who read her previous books - to read the rest of her books. Kathi's books are little gems.

I love reading and or listening to Clive Cussler's stories. The give a piece of history that is intriguing and interesting to the storyline. Plus the added bonus of how Clive ends up in the story at just the right time to help our heroes.

I have enjoyed listening to this author for a while now. I did struggle at the beginning of this book but I persevered through and I am glad now that I did. The extra information at the beginning made it so there was a better understanding of the storyline. I love the characters but saddened that some of the main support characters are now gone.

I love listening to Clive Cussler books because there is adventure, intrigue and parts of history that comes to life. I would recommend any of his books to anyone who wants to take a ride through history and present day because it is one heck of a roller coaster ride.

It began in Ethiopia, hundreds of thousands of years ago, when a handful of genetic mutations caused evolution to split from the primates and mankind was born. Now, eons later, evidence of more splits from the apes is being unearthed. And with them, a disturbing realization. Ours was only one of many.

Historia
In 1984, a doomsday vault was constructed on a remote island in the Arctic Ocean. Its purpose was to preserve Earth's genetic history in the event of a global catastrophe. Now, decades later, a second vault has been uncovered, this one resting where no one ever expected. And the problem is it's not ours. Yet even more curious than the vault itself is what lies inside. Seeds. Millions of seeds. Each with a genetic embryo untouched and perfectly preserved. Waiting.

Hooked
Revisado: 09-21-19
I have enjoyed listening to this series very much. I was just wanting something to listen to while working. I have been hooked since listening to the first book 3 days ago and I have now just finished the 3rd book and getting ready to start the 4th. The storyline is outstanding, the characters are engaging and the author has made me cry because of a sad scene. When an author can do that then I classify them as an exceptional writer who can engage the readers imagination and emotions at the same time.

I have become hooked. This author is very engaging and makes me try to anticipate whether or not I have foreseen what he is trying to write. I am no where close. He has engaged my imagination to the impossible and at the end he throws you a curve ball. But if you where listening then you wonder if that curve ball will be discovered later.

Engaging
Revisado: 09-19-19
I was looking for something new to read and came across this book while browsing Audible. I bought the book so that I could get the audio for a lower price and I am very glad that I did. This book had a great storyline and engaging characters. There was action, intrigue and that little something that makes you want to know what is going to happen next. I would recommend this author to any fan of Clive Cussler, but keep in mind that there is a difference between the two authors - Clive puts a piece of history in his storyline where Michael puts a piece of science fiction in his. I would also say that the narrator, Scott Brick, reads both authors books. He brings the stories to life with the right tone and is very engaging.

Not a bad story, very interesting. Lots of twists and turns; however, the author left too many open ended twists that I wish would have been closed and not left for the reader to make assumptions about.

Not something I would listen to again. The storyline was all over the place. Too much of a twisting plot the overshadowed the characters.
