This world is no friend to grace. God has given us some resources, however. As we grow in character qualities like hope, patience, repentance and joy, we ill grow in our ability to persevere. The biblical passages in these studies offer encouragement to continue in the path Christ has set forth for us.

Great substance great reading desperately needs chapters
Revisado: 04-21-25
Excellent book by Eugene Peterson
And the reader does a wonderful job
The biggest flaw is it desperately needs chapters bookmark for each chapter .
My gas is this was produced before Audible required chapters for each chapter . The whole book yes 16 chapters long but crammed into four huge sections.
Very inconvenient hopefully an update will happen soon

But pastor and New York Times bestselling author Max Lucado is here to share some good news: in the Bible and in the circumstances of your life, God whispers your name lovingly, tenderly, patiently, and persistently.

Another good book
Revisado: 06-20-24
Overall, I really well done book. Some chapters more memorable than others. There is not a lot of cohesion between the chapters. It’s more a bunch of individual chapters compiled together. No real overarching narrative to drive it along, but still some good chapters in this book.

Historia
Talking about death and dying is considered taboo in polite company, and even in the medical field. Our ideas about dying are confusing at best: Will our memories flash before our eyes? Regrets consume our thoughts? Does a bright light appear at the end of a tunnel? For most people, it will be a slower process, one eased with preparedness, good humor, and a bit of faith. At the forefront of changing attitudes around palliative care is hospice nurse Hadley Vlahos, who shows that end-of-life care can teach us just as much about how to live as it does about how we die.

Powerful, beautiful and compassionate
Revisado: 01-09-24
Powerful stories, and her own personal journey. A lot of good to glean from this. Death is something we all must face and to hear from one who helps others face it is helpful for when the time comes in our life when we have a loved one pass.
She shows how the little compassionate things we can do really make a big difference

Historia
New Testament scholar N. T. Wright reveals how we have been misreading the Gospels for centuries, powerfully restoring the lost central story of the scripture: that the coronation of God through the acts of Jesus was the climax of human history. Wright fills the gaps that centuries of misdirection have opened up in our collective spiritual story, tracing a narrative from Eden to Jesus to today.

Historia
Many people think the message of the Gospel is that if we believe in Jesus, we will be saved from hell and be transported to heaven after we die. But what if that is not what the Bible actually teaches? What if the good news Jesus came to announce is much bigger, much better, and includes much more than merely what happens after we die? Revered best-selling scholar N. T. Wright reveals what the gospel really is and how it can transform our todays just as much as our tomorrows.

Historia
Taking his trademark intellectual approach to understanding Christianity, Timothy Keller uncovers the essential message of Jesus, locked inside his most familiar parable. Within that parable Jesus reveals God's prodigal grace toward both the irreligious and the moralistic. This book will challenge both the devout and skeptics to see Christianity in a whole new way.
