This is a book I really liked

I knew I would finish this book after only a few pages. The characters were believable and interesting. The storyline was engaging and had some interesting twists.

yuck? Not quite!

The person reading, read too fast, and was unable to use different voices for the different people. It was difficult to track the people speaking.

At first that's all I could think of, but I persevered and started to be able to hear the fast worst, started to hear small differences for different people, and last, after she met the man she would eventually love, and win over, it turned into a wonderful ride to find out how it would all happen. Even if, at times, I thought Flora was a bit dense.

Over all, it turned out to be a very enjoyable listen.

Very well done but...

I didn't like the new voice of Nagatha but I think that was the whole point of the change.

Second, was the character as directed to be gunny Adams, she was not at all like the gunny we've come to know & love.

Other than the chance to the character of gunny I enjoyed it completely.

I liked the ending

I did not much like the main character's choices but I stuck with it and thought the ending was the best outcome for the whole situation.

I think that I enjoyed this story even more the 2nd time around. It's a great series that keeps your interest without any wars, like real Scifi trying to look into the future while doing so without someone trying, or succeeding, in invading earth. It's an easy listen driving to work or a car trip.

makes me want to get the next one

It starts slowly but when the brown stuff hits the rotating blades the story gets really interesting. As a reader/listener you'll probably know what is about to happen before the space navy figures it out. But, what happens in the three storylines will definitely keep you interested, well it kept me wanting to know what came next.

The only thing I can recommend removing are the graphic sex scenes, they really don't add anything to the story. JAK needs to learn how to imply these scenes without the full intimate descriptions.

Even better than expected

I loved it I give it 3👍 narrator was as excellent, the ending was even better. While one can expect Joe, Skippy, and team to prevail, how they manage it every time in a way we don't expect is fantastic. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Wonderful short story

The plot was interesting, the voice actors were believable, and while you knew how it would likely end it was still a wonderful listen. I recommend it for a short trip listen.
