John Perkins wrote that economic hit men (EHM) "are highly paid professionals who cheat countries around the globe out of trillions of dollars. Their tools include fraudulent financial reports, rigged elections, payoffs, extortion, sex, and murder".

Fascinating yet discouraging story

I enjoyed the author’s personal story and candor. I do feel like the lists of things he thinks we should be doing did not fit well into the book. Perhaps he should put them in another book or format. I do find it odd that the author seems to think the same government’s corruption he is exposing is the same government he advocates to fix things. There seems to be some political bias; however, he tells the reader multiple times throughout the book that our entire political and governmental system is corrupt.

I don’t say this lightly…. This may be the best business book I have ever read. I think it’s a must read for EVERY entrepreneur… and I would even go as far to say every young adult. I’m having my two sons read it next.

For someone already well versed in leadership literature and the regular audiobook listener, this book can be listened to at 2.0x because the author enunciates his words very well.
