Historia
It’s 1996, and Reacher is still in the army. In the morning they give him a medal, and in the afternoon they send him back to school. That night he’s off the grid. Out of sight, out of mind. Two other men are in the classroom—an FBI agent and a CIA analyst. Each is a first-rate operator, each is fresh off a big win, and each is wondering what the hell they are doing there. Then they find out: A Jihadist sleeper cell in Hamburg, Germany, has received an unexpected visitor—a Saudi courier, seeking safe haven while waiting to rendezvous with persons unknown.

Worth reading
Revisado: 03-20-23
Following the jack reacher, Sagar has reacher matures and people like Francis. They leave our integral to the plot in many of the books, keeps up my interest, but I’m not sure how much longer than you series can run without becoming repetitive, and even tedious. I say that in a very uncritical light, because Lee Child’s books are masterpieces in and of themselves overall.

Narrator Dick Hill in a class by himself
Revisado: 01-28-23
All Jack reacher fans are familiar with the Contin, the dialogue and the plotting of Lee Childs iconic series of books. But having Dick Hill is the narrator is truly one of the great additions to the entire audiobook genre. Dick Hill’s command of voices of different characters is so complete that you never even think to yourself all this sounds like a man imitating a woman, he is simply in a class by himself

Another masterpiece
Revisado: 04-08-21
I’m going back a second time around to reread the orphan X series which has now reached six books. I have compared them often to Lee Childs Jack reacher series which for a long time I felt was superior to orphan X by Greg Hurwitz. At this point having read the first three books again or is it for I’m starting to lean strongly toward giving or Fed Ex series that nod is the better of the two. Both, of course, our superior entertainment written by master writers.

I’m in awe of Mr. Conroy’s writing. The reader must take Conroy’s note to narrator Frank Muller at full face value, as he too is a genius.

Pimple on a beautiful face
Revisado: 02-10-19
A wonderful with a great narrator blemished by one ridiculous scene in a restaurant. Orphan X surrounded by armed cops and he launches into a windy explanation of how he’s going to disarm them with a cup of a hot beverage and the edge of the table and possibly the gravitational pull of the Moon. Mr Hurwitz, respectfully, this plot device is ridiculous.

Is there a better narrator than Frank Muller?
Revisado: 10-10-18
Good plot, good pacing, great dialog, fun story. Maybe the story isn't 5-star but it's close enough. But what stood out, not for the first time, is the narrative and acting skills of Frank Muller. There are many great narrators out there, Dick Hill, Ron McLarty, etc. But Muller, IMO, is in a class by himself. You feel like you are in a roomful of totally different people speaking. What a treat. I would get an audio book on stamp collecting if Mr. Muller narrated it!

First-rate book and world class narrator
Revisado: 07-25-18
When two lines intersect - a Greg Iles book and Dick Hill as narrator, it's pretty much a no-brainer. I grew to appreciate Dick Hill after he took over narrating Lee Childs' Jack Reacher franchise. He's an incomparable talent and it's less a book than an action thriller coming through my Bluetooth headset at the gym, in the car and elsewhere. The plotting and characters are so well drawn and distinct and the pacing so relentless that I began hoarding my listening time. Translation: I never listened when I was tired or even distracted because I didn't want to miss any nuance in any of the narrative. This is one lousy review, for one great book!

I've become spoiled....
Revisado: 08-23-17
This is unfair but I am giving this book back to audible because I am too distracted listening to the narrator try to do a woman's voice. I think the bar has been raised so high by some of the incredible voice actors now doing the best books. I is the best steak Larsons millennium series can you do after his death and the narrator there is world-class. You never even think that it's a man doing a woman's voice. I like the Mercedes trilogy very much and Stephen King is an all-time favorite author, but I am going to read the rest of this book on Kindle.
