Historia
Within the fabric of every stone building is a wondrous story of geological origins, architectural aesthetics, and cultural history. You probably don’t expect to make geological finds along the sidewalks of a major city, but when natural history writer David B. Williams looks at the stone masonry, facades, and ornamentations of buildings, he sees a range of rocks equal to any assembled by plate tectonics.

Great narrative, will listen again.

Loved it overall. The narrative to me, felt engaging, though the narrator's tone gave me nostalgia for early 2000's educational videos about dinosaurs, and the process of erupting volcanoes.
Personally for me, the perspective provided had some slightly horrifying insinuations for how rock-cutting, and the intentional displacement of natural resources including actual mountains made me reconsider my eco-footprint though.
Certainly delivered on the title in a way I was not prepared for.
I'm not a Geologist - i simply enjoy learning and hearing about such subjects.

Historia
Comedian Kate Willett was married to a woman and thought she'd never have to deal with men again. That is, until she found herself dumped, suddenly single, and mystifyingly...mostly attracted to dudes. Like any good comic, she was inspired to investigate, and thus ensued her hilarious, sometimes high-stakes personal research into the world of men, culminating in a beautiful, difficult romance.

Good (not what i expected)
Revisado: 04-01-21
It was refreshing to listen to, and very frank in a way i hadn't quite anticipated (ive never heard of Kate before i bought the book - it just looked interesting.)
As Kate talked about her career and journey in life, even leading up to the main topic, and how it's shaped her opinion on masculinity, and a few other notable topics i didnt fully expect to be diving into, but it felt worth it to me at the end, and I'll listen to it again.

It was okay, and sparks a few ideas, but a few times throughout, the speaker sounded like they were trying not to yawn.
Each chapter ending is a good time to pause to reflectb rather tha ideally listening straight through, at least thats hos it felt to me.

voice tone was nice.

Definitely gave me some ideas to keep in mind.
The reader's voice wasnt too monotone either, which made it easier to listen to without losing interest.
