I doubt I’ll read another book this stellar in a very long time. Extremely well done. Performance was perfect. The twist was the cherry on top. Strong women abound. Everything I wanted and needed in a book.

I dont know how Grady did it. With every turn I felt the pain, torture, sadness, shame. Then I felt the power, possibility, empathy, dignity and triumph. Although, our journey as women is all of the things and then some... I am forever grateful to be a Woman.

Makes it hard to pick a side

I absolutely love this series. The suspense kills me. You literally root for each character...which makes it hard to really pick a side and ultimately you have to pick a side. Thats life.

Thank you Mr. Koontz. This book was spectacular. You've always been my favorite and this book reminded me why.
If you've not listened to it. Do it. Great narration and even better story.

I truly appreciate a femme fatale. Especially one so understated and yet very much devastating. She seems to be like the lighthouse. One who's light goes out just as a ship finds it too late to turn around and crashes upon the abrasive wynorrific shores. The ship spilling out, leaving nothing but a devastated landscape minus the entrancing lighthouse still standing shining brilliantly. A beautiful woman can be unequivocally both scenes and yet neither all together. Femme fatale. Wonderfully entertaining. I could barely put it on pause.

I couldn't even get through a chapter. The narrator was horrible & honestly I don't understand how this book could make a "top" list. I literally rolled my eyes within the first couple minutes

I love Michael McDowell.

I must say this book was definitely long and drawn-out. However, I enjoyed every minute of it. Michael Mcdowell was an amazing writer and I don't think that they make them like that anymore. I literally felt like the Caskey's were my family like I was living right alongside them and I dropped a few tears when Eleanor died. It was a fantastic life Journey.
