Narrator voices distracting
Revisado: 11-05-23
The female characters baby-talk voice almost ruins their part of the story. Good story and much of the performance was good, but both Nina and Daisy talk like they are 5 yrs old. I almost quit listening.

Historia
Jamie Connors has given up on finding a man. Despite being smart, pretty, and just slightly overweight, she's a magnet for the kind of guys that don't stay around. Her sister's wedding is at the foreground of the family's attention. Jamie would be fine with it if her sister wasn't pressuring her to lose weight so she'll fit in the maid of honor dress, her mother would get off her case, and her ex-boyfriend wasn't about to become her brother-in-law. Determined to step out on her own, she accepts a PA position from billionaire Alex Reid....

Wrong narrator
Revisado: 10-03-20
This book is being read to you, not performed. Audible has raised the bar for narration and just reading to me no longer does it. She also uses a baby voice. Not appealing.
The story is good and kept me listening to them end.

Historia
When the spirit of Lara’s great-aunt Sadie–a feisty, demanding girl with firm ideas about fashion, love, and the right way to dance–mysteriously appears, she has one last request: Lara must find a missing necklace that had been in Sadie’s possession for more than seventy-five years, and Sadie cannot rest without it. Lara, on the other hand, has a number of ongoing distractions. Her best friend and business partner has run off to Goa, her start-up company is floundering, and she’s just been dumped by the “perfect” man.

Incredulously...bad editing
Revisado: 02-03-20
I very much enjoying the story and the performance. I’ve listened to most of Sophia Kinsella’s books and I’ve never experienced the annoyance that I experienced with this one. All I can imagine is that the editor just didn’t do their job. The frequent use of the exact word “incredulously” and “incredulous” is unbelievable or INCREDULOUS. That word can’t be used this much. It’s used multiple times per chapter which made me focus on all of the adverbs. Incredulous is not a word that can be used like that without notice.

Great book, distracting music
Revisado: 04-25-19
I loved the story and the readers performance was fine. I really disliked the music. It was very distracting, sometimes louder than the reader. I’ll buy the next one if there’s a version without music.

Good story; slow performance
Revisado: 08-29-18
I had to listen to this book on 1.5x speed. Frankie Corzo narrated SO slow I kept thinking my app had paused itself. The enormous gaps between sentences was driving me nuts.
The story is a refreshing story that invites the reader into the life of immigrants in a very educational way. Outstanding!!

Narrative causes frustration
Revisado: 02-12-16
Narrator over acts every sentence so it goes from too loud to whispering in every sentence. He acts every character as angry when the author didn't write them all that way. It's distracting and frustrating. I enjoyed the story very much. I just wish I'd read the hard copy instead.

Great book horribly performed!
Revisado: 01-29-16
Would you try another book from Vince Flynn and/or Nick Sullivan?
I will read Vince Flynn's books that are not narrated by Nick Sullivan. Nick reads robotically and awkwardly. It's very distracting from the story. I rushed through the book just to get it over with.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Read like a robot.
