Historia
Many parents suspect their strong-willed child is deliberately trying to drive them crazy. Difficult to discipline and seemingly impossible to motivate, these children present unique, exhausting, and often-frustrating challenges to the those who love them. But strong will is not a negative trait. These same children have firm convictions, high spirits, a sense of adventure - all the makings of a great adult. In this book you'll discover how to channel that determination in positive ways as you build a healthy relationship.

So incredibly helpful
Revisado: 10-26-24
I have two extremely strong-willed children…and a strong-willed husband too. I have always known that their personalities can lead to great things, but man, in the trenches of raising them? This is hard stuff. This book helped me reframe how I approach communicating with my SWCs. It will take practicing a lot of self discipline and trying new things, but this book opened the door to understanding where their brains are at and has been immediately helpful when at my wits end. My husband has already affirmed everything I have brought up from the book to him as a SWC, and we both feel better equipped to bring out the best in our kids.

Historia
An arranged marriage isn’t the worst fate for a princess like me. Especially because I’ve been in love with my intended groom since we were children. But when my prince shows up with an American girlfriend instead of an engagement ring, all arrangements are off. The clock is nearing midnight; I won’t turn into a pumpkin, but if I’m not wed by summer’s end, I’ll forfeit my kingdom. Just your typical royal dilemma. Out of sheer desperation, I make a deal with a devilish duke. Rafe de Silva is the prince’s rival and has a plan so ridiculous it just might work.

Royal Romance Romcom
Revisado: 07-08-24
Reread via audio—what great narration!
A perfect combination of comedy, realistic struggles, hard topics, swooning, and the best HEAs! This is one of the best royal romances I’ve read. Fake dating, anxiety rep, a fun, slow, satisfying burn with fire chemistry.

Historia
Not everyone is destined to live happily ever after, right? I’d be fine with averagely ever after. Lower expectations mean less heartbreak. But then I meet Mac and Daisy. Single dad Mac needs a temporary nanny for his daughter, Daisy. I need a second job until my promotion kicks in. It’s the perfect arrangement…until it isn’t. Because who can resist a dad buying ballerina tights after a day spent in a hard hat? Not me, that’s for sure. Now, Mac’s green eyes and Daisy’s crooked pigtails have me dreaming about a future I can’t give them.

Single dad, hidden identity, fake marriage, sweet RomCom
Revisado: 07-25-23
I reread this book via audio and it was so much fun revisiting Brooke and Mac’s story with such great narrators! I discovered Julie and her books pre-bookstagram and I realized I didn’t even write a review, just rated it, but this book was one of my top reads of 2021. Let’s revisit why this is such a great single dad, hidden identity, fake marriage, forced proximity story!
Things I Loved:
-Little Tikes self-defense
-“Be that as it may.”
-Mrs. Sprat
-Water fight
-Mrs. Dodd
-Car toes
-Daisy
-“Don’t be sad, Book Wallace.”
-Iced tea
-Almost kiss!
-“But you sure are stubborn enough to be Elizabeth Bennet.”
-K-I-S-S-I-N-G
-“‘This is some big news. You not only married my daughter, you’ve accomplished the impossible.’ He nods at Mrs. Wallace whose jaw is unhinged now. ‘My wife is speechless.’”
-“I just want her.”
-MeeMaw and PeePaw
-“Book, why did the cook go swimming?”
-“That’s pretty much what I’ve been doing my whole life. Until I met you. Everything before that was just practice. But this is real now.”
-The whole ending ♥️
This is a fast paced Sweet RomCom, but it is so precious and full of chemistry.
So, if you haven’t visited Apple Valley yet, let this be your nudge to do so. If you have, I recommend revisiting, the audiobook was a great way to do so!
