Historia
Norman Mailer's Pulitzer Prize-winning and unforgettable classic about convicted killer Gary Gilmore now in audio. Arguably the greatest book from America's most heroically ambitious writer, The Executioner's Song follows the short, blighted life of Gary Gilmore who became famous after he robbed two men in 1976 and killed them in cold blood. After being tried and convicted, he immediately insisted on being executed for his crime. To do so, he fought a system that seemed intent on keeping him alive long after it had sentenced him to death.

A piece of fictional history
Revisado: 10-06-19
This is fiction that is as close to history as possible. Maybe it was a bit long to be considered fictional but I can say it was thorough.
I found it very difficult throughout to care about Gary Gilmore, which has more to do with who he was as a person than the author’s portrayal. The book was a long haul but there were rewards in making it to the end. Though there were many historical aspects to the story I would rather that next time I read about someone who accomplished more than murder and being executed.
It was well written though.

Historia
Over the last few decades, networking has devolved into an endless series of cattle call events full of open bars and closed fists. Perfect strangers, after a long day at the office, agree to show up and bump into each other, randomly exchanging business pitches for business cards. Needless to say, traditional networking isn't working anymore. For successful 21st century business people, large networking events and the mountains of business cards they produce have become a waste of time and valuable resources.

He’s so true!
Revisado: 06-15-19
One of my businesses is in the network side of things so I have read so much about networking over the years and have also tried out the ideas as we as my own. This author gets it right.

This book was not what I expected and everything I expected at the same time.
Revisado: 06-15-19
I had believed before buying this book that Dr. Peterson had written a sort of self help book, capitalizing on his recent social and main stream media fame. Actually, what Jordan Peterson delivers were twelve well written, well considered, well argued essays on how to live. He draws, of course, on his own experience but also on great thinkers and writers (Socrates, Nietzsche and Dostoyevsky, to name a few).
Jordan Peterson also liberally quotes from the Bible, which I found curious as I’d never heard of him to be religious leaning.
This book is for people who like to be challenged to think about what the author is putting out there. I’m glad I read it and I will read it again periodically.

One Thursday lunchtime the Earth gets unexpectedly demolished to make way for a new hyperspace bypass. For Arthur Dent, who has only just had his house demolished that morning, this seems already to be more than he can cope with.

I can’t believe I waited so long to tackle this one!
Revisado: 05-26-19
The story meanders and some of the names are outlandish (but, of course!), yet the wit in both the dialogue and narration make this book a real gem. I’m not a science fiction aficionado but I loved this one and would highly recommend it. The humor is dripping from every page.

"Never started a company before? Struggling with little or no cash? Have no experience, no baseline to judge your progress against? Thank God! You've got a shot at making this work." So says Mike Michalowicz, author of The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur, a business book that is so uniquely useful, so raw and entertaining, it reads like the brainchild of Steve Jobs and Chris Rock.

Loved the book (but not the theme)
Revisado: 05-15-19
The author put lots of good advice about bootstrapping your own company. It’s great reading for budding entrepreneurs and more experienced business owners as well.
