Historia
Have the day-to-day realities of being a dad and husband left you frustrated or worn out? You're not alone. Jerrad Lopes felt that way too...until he started blogging about his struggles and discovered thousands of other men who want to be good husbands and fathers but don't know where to start. You will learn that spiritual leaders realize their story isn't the story - it's all about Jesus; point their wives, children, community, and world toward God; stumble their way through spiritual leadership rather than doing nothing; and seek humility rather than strive for perfection.

Loved the brutal transparency and candor as he works the gospel into every nook and cranny of being a man who is a dad.

Historia
To attain simplicity in preaching is of the utmost importance to every minister who wishes to be useful to souls. Unless you are simple in your sermons, you will never be understood, and unless you are understood, you cannot do good to those who hear you. Of course, the first objective of a minister should be to preach the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth as it is in Jesus. But the next thing he ought to aim at is for his sermon to be understood, and it will not be understood by most of his congregation if it is not simple.

Historia
Authors Eric Geiger (author of the best-selling Simple Church and Creature of the Word) and Kevin Peck argue that churches that consistently produce leaders have strong convictions to develop leaders, healthy cultures for leadership development, and helpful constructs to systematically and intentionally build leaders. All three are essential for leaders to be formed through the ministry of a local church.

Very well laid out and presented.

Very well laid out and presented. They do a great job driving home what Paul was communicating in Ephesians 4. Really appreciate the value and importance placed on the holiness of the everyday work place.

Historia
Based on case studies of 400 American churches, authors Thom Rainer and Eric Geiger prove that the process for making disciples has quite often become too complex. Simple churches are thriving, and they are doing so by taking these four ideas to heart: Clarity. Movement. Alignment. Focus. Each idea is examined here, simply showing why it is time to simplify.

Fantastic Philosophy - Would like more scripture
Revisado: 09-30-19
Fantastic Philosophy - Would like more scripture. This is a highly practical book. I personally would like to see more scripture in it but I understand how it goes - every book can't say everything or it will often say nothing. However, this book pairs well with DiscipleShift. The two together are very compelling.

Mare Barrow is a prisoner, powerless without her lightning, tormented by her lethal mistakes. She lives at the mercy of a boy she once loved, a boy made of lies and betrayal. Now a king, Maven Calore continues weaving his dead mother's web in an attempt to maintain control over his country - and his prisoner. As Mare bears the weight of Silent Stone in the palace, her once-ragtag band of newbloods and Reds continue organizing, training, and expanding. They prepare for war, no longer able to linger in the shadows.

IT WAS SLOW
Revisado: 10-25-18
it was hard to listen, it drags so much and not much happens I could have been doing other things with my life. it could have been a great book if it didn't keep dragging on and on. I love the story of them but I liked the first two way more they left you hanging almost every chapter but not really this one I kept putting it down and not really caring if I picked it back up again because nothing exciting really happens. I hope the 4th will be better.

Historia
Christianity is a picture of reality. It explains why the world is the way it is. When the pieces of this puzzle are properly assembled, we see the big picture clearly. Christianity is a true story of how the world began, why the world is the way it is, what role humans play in the drama, and how all the plotlines of the story are resolved in the end. In The Story of Reality, best-selling author and host of Stand to Reason Gregory Koukl explains the five words that form the narrative backbone of the Christian story.

Great way to retell the story of the Bible.
Revisado: 05-14-18
An excellent work! Note: this is not a book that aligns the books of the Bible in a chronological order, rather it attempts to summarize the major themes and "characters" of the story... the story of Reality.

Historia
Could you survive on your own, in the wild, with everyone out to make sure you don't live to see the morning? In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.
