Historia
Jane Steward's resort is hopping - not only is Peppermint Press' conference in full swing, there are also lots of families staying on the premises, bringing their kids to events like a scavenger hunt through the Fairy Tale Forest. Then a woman dressed like Little Red Riding Hood is found dead from a plot device straight out of a fairy tale-with a rare and valuable copy of Grimm's Fairy Tales in her basket. Not long after, a second victim is killed, with yet another treasure - a volume by Hans Christian Andersen worth thousands of dollars - nearby.

One sour note in the whole audio.

I hope it continues!
Revisado: 05-03-20
This is my favorite of all of Ellery Adams’ series. Storyton Hall is a place I’d love to escape to (minus the murder part!). Rooms with themed libraries where once can nestle with a good book and a soothing cup of whiskey laced coffee or hot cocoa, a place free of the distraction of electronics, delectable teas served daily, friends and family that actually show up consistently... I find it cleverly written. I was so excited to learn that she had come out with another book, and it did not disappoint. I will refrain from spoiling the ending other than to say I hope that what was hinted to at the end comes in Ms. Adams’ next book!

Negotiations underway with a narrator. No auditions accepted at this time. The gigantic cake for the new city rec center opening is going to be great advertising for Tess Crawford's new bakery, until she finds the city councilman who oversaw the project dead.

Narrator not a good fit for this story
Revisado: 04-30-18
Pamela Almands’s voice sounds as though it would be good for a story about pirates, I think, but it doesn’t work for me here. I’ve listened to the first two books of this series now, and I don’t think I can do another. Her voice does not fit what I imagine the characters’ voices to sound like. There are times when it sounds like she is smiling and she shouldn’t be... I do find the stories themselves entertaining.

Historia
Born to an unmarried woman who dies after giving birth, orphan Oliver Twist seems destined to slog through a dismal life in the workhouse. A rebellious cry for more gets Oliver banished, and ultimately lands him on the dismal streets of London. The young outcast finds refuge with Fagin and his band of thieves before fate intervenes and puts Oliver in the hands of a kindly benefactor. It is likely that Dickens's own early youth as a child labourer contributed to the story's development.

Wonderful Narrator!

Peter Bachelor spoils the reader with how he changes voices for each character. Very well read.
The story is a classic, and in my opinion, well written. Love the language. It can be quite violent, so I caution parents who wish to read it to younger children.
