Some may criticize the author's approach to character development but i love what she has done with this tale, giving us insight into one storyline from multiple character perspectives. Isn't that more like real life than honing in on one angle?

Best fiction in a long time

I am not one who finds gore and macabre to qualify to serve as entertainment, so if you need that kind of crazy, you should skip this lovely book. This is a pleasant stroll through an American summer treasure trove. Nice character development, plenty of small mysteries, foodie delights and fun moments. It's my first Elin read so I don't know if she typically populates her stories with exclusively Anglo people -- but I will read another and be on the lookout for more diversity. ENJOY!

There is, in my assessment, only one document the reading of which is more important for Americans than Red Notice, and that is the Constitution combined with the Bill of Rights. The latter may be pre-eminently important, but Red Notice is both more fun AND more heart-breaking than that. This book is captivating for the pace and the action that it conveys and the Narrator enhances the listening experience with his broad range of approximate accents and gender-inflected voicing.

The insight into the cruel and corrupt machinations of the Russian state and its despotic leader are worth far more than the price of the book or the time invested. This is one very personal account told by an individual who had the will and the wit and the resources to fight injustice. Thank God and Bill Browder for these hard won victories! The only story I know that is more horrific than Sergei's is the story of the American Christian martyr, Kayla Mueller -- may her name never be forgotten in our generations.

Still, I am crying out to God on behalf of the thousands abused by such thuggery with no human help or advocacy.

It is really written for a teen girl audience, but the focus is on the girl's life with the horses on her family farm. The horsemanship is solid & the characters are well-crafted if not always likable. That's life. The audible performance was good, very appropriate to the character voicing the story.
