Historia
Against the backdrop of the extraordinary history of Great Lakes shipping, Too Much Sea for Their Decks chronicles shipwrecked schooners, wooden freighters, early steel-hulled steamers, whalebacks, and bulk carriers all lost in the frigid waters of Lake Superior. Arranged chronologically and presented in three sections covering Minnesota's North Shore, Isle Royale, and the three biggest storms in Minnesota's Great Lakes history, each shipwreck documented within provides a piece to the history of shipping on Lake Superior.

Nothing happens.
Revisado: 03-01-23
nothing new happens. there's no action, no story lines completed. I was shocked when it ended. RJ waited until the last 5 minutes to do anything interesting and uses it as a cliff hanger.
everything that happens in this book could have been summarized in 5 chapters at the end of the last book.
incredibly blaring series, if you haven't started it, don't. I never met RJ but I wouldn't have wanted to.

Wow. uneventful
Revisado: 01-31-23
There's some story building but nothing interesting happens. very minor events and doesn't answer cliff hangers from last book. I don't think I could have finished this if it wasn't audio book so I could work while I listen.
when will the "folded her arms under her breasts" stop??

Revisado: 11-08-22
Voice actor is great. few points where she yells that the production team could have done better to smooth out the voice. story is classic small village boy becomes the chosen one, Robert tried to make it mysterious but it's incredibly obvious in the first chapter, which he just bit into it. if you do listen to it, I dare you to count how many times the word "blinked" is used. it's a lot.

Historia
Set in present-day Los Angeles, Junk explores an epic conspiracy, one at work for thousands of years that involves total takeover of the planet Earth by aliens. In the wild, souped-up vision of Les Bohem - the acclaimed, Emmy-winning writer of the Steven Spielberg miniseries, Taken - the world is at the end stage of long-range plot that involves a gigantic genetic-engineering project. The aliens who have invaded us have no planet. No spaceship is coming. Instead, a small advance force comes, breeds, and dies - thus becoming an anomaly in our DNA that can’t be explained.

Just didn't do it
Revisado: 08-11-22
Couldn't wait for this one to be over. I gave it a full listen to see if it could redeem itself. might be better in physical form, hard to tell who is speaking as there is no indication during dialog. not very descriptive during scenes. used a lame way to end it that wasn't explained in much depth. Had an unnecessary amount of cursing. like the type that makes me assume the author doesn't have much of a vocabulary. I can tell they tried to make it seem modern and realistic but not everyone is always swearing all the time like that. Just, not necessary. the kind of book I never bring up in conversation again because I will likely forget about it soon.

Felt sub par
Revisado: 07-28-22
There's story points that the writer introduces but doesn't keep up with do they lose a lot of meaning. some characters act in realistically during conversation that ruins the genuine feel of their connections. not everyone in a book needs to have a single obvious flaw

Nice classic book, well done. but meh.
Revisado: 07-05-22
Missing the juice. I can see how it may have been popular back in the day, but it Doesn't hold up against current novels. Feels anti climactic and was much more epic the way it lived in my head after the first read back in highschool.
