Historia
Never is an extraordinary novel, full of heroines and villains, false prophets and elite warriors, jaded politicians and opportunistic revolutionaries. It brims with cautionary wisdom for our times, and delivers a visceral, heart-pounding story that transports listeners to the brink of the unimaginable.

Unfulfilling and Underwhelming
Revisado: 11-14-22
It seems as if the author was trying to fulfill a obligation he may have incurred contractually in writing this book.
It seems very little research was done in terms of command and control, weapons systems, reaction times, and general geopolitical realities.
There is a two person rule in regard to the release of nuclear weapons, this is not alluded to in the book.
Drones cannot be willed out of nowhere, and cities that were vaporized in earlier chapters cannot be broadcasting national news programs in subsequent chapters. The dialogue is clumsy, the character backstories non-sensical in relation to the plot, and in fact are somewhat exhausting.
It kept my interest just long enough to finish it, but I feel as if I spent a day at the beach; too much sun, exhausted, and worse for the west.

Historia
Jacob Finch Bonner was once a promising young novelist with a respectably published first book. Today, he’s teaching in a third-rate MFA program and struggling to maintain what’s left of his self-respect; he hasn’t written—let alone published—anything decent in years. When Evan Parker, his most arrogant student, announces he doesn’t need Jake’s help because the plot of his book in progress is a sure thing, Jake is prepared to dismiss the boast as typical amateur narcissism. But then...he hears the plot.

Disappointing
Revisado: 06-01-21
Interesting enough to keep you there until the end; however I figured out the antagonist about 75% in, so there’s really no plot twist.

Historia
A submarine of incredible range that could strike anywhere, anytime. And it did, prowling the shipping lanes night and day, and striking fear into the Allies. It was just what Hitler needed to turn the tide of war. Until it disappeared without a trace. Now, more than seven decades later, the wreck of a previously unknown U-Boat has been found off the South American coast. But something has survived on the empty sub. A dark and terrifying presence.

Performed Poorly
Revisado: 05-13-21
Pure pulp. Entertaining enough, decent story. The performance is like a badly acted 1930s radio-play.

Historia
In the last months of World War II, the German Navy premiered a new and terrifying weapon. A submarine so well preserved that it shouldn’t exist.

Historia
Miracles are happening. Pray to God they stop. In the dead of winter, on a highway in Quebec, a man crashes his car and survives. In New York, a homeless person is run over by a bus and lives. In Tokyo, a teenager jumps off a high rise building and fails in taking her own life. All over the world, miracles like these transpire, and people breathe a sigh of relief. But for the next week, some people will begin to suspect a terrible truth. A handful will even search for it. One man will find it. And in seven days, all hell will break loose.

Disappointing
Revisado: 02-23-19
Disjointed, over-acted, maddening. Keeps you interested just long enough to disappoint, especially considering the premise is wholly original.
