Historia
The orphaned Elsie Camden learned as a girl that there were two kinds of wizards in the world: those who pay for the power to cast spells and those, like her, born with the ability to break them. But as an unlicensed magic user, her gift is a crime. Commissioned by an underground group known as the Cowls, Elsie uses her spellbreaking to push back against the aristocrats and help the common man. Elite magic user Bacchus Kelsey is one elusive spell away from his mastership when he catches Elsie breaking an enchantment. To protect her secret, Elsie strikes a bargain.

One of those books where they switch between narrators
Revisado: 06-15-21
I sometimes really enjoy when books change character perspective, switching the narrators - this was not one of them. The female narrator was fine but the male narrator I just could not handle. It was always so abrupt and far louder. I didn’t like his tone or pacing. The story was fine in the long run but I had a hard time getting past the narrator almost didn’t finish as a result

Historia
Build. Evolve. Conquer. The dawn of the Troll Nation has begun.... Roark von Graf - former noble and hedge-mage, current mid-level mob in a MMORPG - has taken down the dungeon Lord of the Cruel Citadel, but the battle has only started. Lowen, right hand to the Tyrant King, has come to Hearthworld, and he is building an army of his own. Worse, Lowen and company have taken over one of the most powerful dungeons in the game, The Vault of the Radiant Shield. Even as a Jotnar and a newly minted Dungeon Lord, Roark is supremely outclassed and he bloody well knows it.

Fun stories disappointing performances.

Turns out not a fan of the two authors as narrators. I really enjoy this series but the narrators (authors) is less than stellar. Wish they would have used the original narrator from the main series.

Historia
Alexia Tarabotti, Lady Maccon, has settled into domestic bliss. Of course, being Alexia, such bliss involves integrating werewolves into London High society, living in a vampire's second best closet, and coping with a precocious toddler who is prone to turning supernatural willy-nilly. Even Ivy Tunstell's acting troupe's latest play, disastrous to say the least, cannot put a damper on Alexia's enjoyment of her new London lifestyle.

A nice close to the series
Revisado: 11-12-12
Where does Timeless rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I will listen to it again
What other book might you compare Timeless to and why?
I cannot think of anything really. It is a steam punk novel and a series. It was better than the alchemy of stone and as it was not from the perspective of anatomist on it was more relatable.
What does Emily Gray bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Emily did great voices allowing you to really hear when a character was speaking. Her emotion tended to be accurate and expressive. Her accent helped set the story in the correct region.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I cry easily so yes I cried as well as laughed.
Any additional comments?
This was my first steam punk series. I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the flaws with the characters as well as the connection between them. The mysteries were always new but could relate to others within the series.
