Historia
William “Will” de Wolfe has the weight of the entire de Wolfe empire weighing on him. Perfection is key. Living up to the grandfather he was named for has been something he’s had to deal with his entire life. But Will is strong, noble, true, and powerful—everything a man named William de Wolfe should be. Except he’s living through a personal tragedy no man should have to live through.

Revisado: 07-25-23
I never expected a storyline this good and different! I’ve read over thirty of Kathryn Le Veque’s books and enjoyed every one. After reading The Black Storm, another five star read, I went right into Wolfelord. Usually it’s hard to find another book that will keep the good book momentum going. Wolfelord wilI do it. I highly recommend both, especially Wolfelord. The situations happening within the story surprised and shocked. Kathryn Le Veque is a constant fountain of good reads.

Wonderful
Revisado: 09-01-21
Have listened to many Le Veque books. This one among the best. Narrator outdid himself. Solid story. Didn’t realize eight and a half hours could fly by so fast. It was that good.

Historia
You know those stories where an adorably misunderstood, clumsy girl needs a fake date to a wedding so she asks her brother’s best friend and they accidentally fall in love? I wish that was the kind of life I lead, but it’s not. I don’t need a date to a wedding. I need a date to a funeral. And I don’t have a brother, or a best friend with a brother available, which means I’m stuck with Tyler Jaeger. Sure, he’s a professional hockey player who also knows advanced calculus, but let’s say we’re not compatible and leave it at that. I should know. I am a matchmaker.

Ouch.
Revisado: 06-03-21
Expected a good book based on reviews, but it was forced listening to chapter six. Female narrator’s voice annoying. Male narration ok but this character totally obsessed with his sexual go nowhere issue. Boredom continued non stop. Wished I could have returned this one.

Disappointed
Revisado: 05-07-20
Am an avid Lee Child reader. Love the Reacher novels. Have the first one and most of the rest. I had to stop listening to The Midnight Line with 6 hours left to listen. What happened? No excitement. Original Reacher character totally gone. Narrator droned on. Believe me. I tried. My guy Jack isn’t an impact anymore in this adventure.

Historia
Romantic Times Lifetime Achievement Award winner and New York Times best-selling author Bertrice Small won a loyal fan following with breathtaking historical romances like her Border Chronicles series. Here, Scottish lass Maggie Kerr refuses to marry a man of lesser merit. So her grandfather offers a challenge: any man who can outshoot and outride Maggie may claim her hand.

A good combination: history and romance
Revisado: 02-04-13
I especially enjoy Bertrice Small's romance novels because she weaves history into every story. It's the history that gives her work substance and makes a novel a worthwhile read. Ms. Small gets to the point. I prefer that approach rather than listen to obscure descriptions about personalities and locations.

Another good read by DeMille
Revisado: 11-19-12
The Panther was a good second to DeMille's The Lion's Game. The most enjoyable aspect was the character of John Cory who never disappoints. I just love this guy when he's sarcastic. He had a lot more humor going for him in this novel. It took the edge off the suspense, but then I welcomed the change of mood. I've read about twelve of DeMille's novels and would rank them all pretty high on the list; so I'm a big fan.
Moreover, if Scott Brick is narrating, you can bet every minute of listen will be worthwhile.
