This isn’t a bad book but certainly different. It reminds me of a person on a soap box, venting about all the things he hates about his profession. I guess he had to write it with a bunch of short stories, so he could get all his complaints in.

If you could sum up Winter Garden in three words, what would they be?
I will always remember this book. It has actually changed how I react to problems in my life. The author's writing style just takes you in and the story line - well you can't stop listening (or reading).
Who was your favorite character and why?
The mother, Anya, for her decisions to persevere and change.
Have you listened to any of Susan Ericksen’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
All of Susan Ericksen's performances, that I have listened to, have been spot on. I specifically enjoyed the Russian accent she used in Winter Garden--very well done!
If you could take any character from Winter Garden out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Nina--to hear about her travels.
Any additional comments?
Friends, I have told about Winter Garden, have all thanked me for the suggestion to read it. One pretended to be mad at me because she had to stay up so late one night--she couldn't put it down.
