Historia
It’s been a decade since Trumanell Branson disappeared, leaving only a bloody handprint behind. Her pretty face still hangs like a watchful queen on the posters on the walls of the town’s Baptist church, the police station, and in the high school. They all promise the same thing: We will find you. Meanwhile, Tru's brother, Wyatt, lives as a pariah in the desolation of the old family house, cleared of wrongdoing by the police but tried and sentenced in the court of public opinion and in a new documentary about the crime.

I have no idea what the pertinence of this book to the series was. I listened to it because I didn’t want to miss a part of the series. There was no point to this story. It was rushed and I was wildly disappointed.

I found Jen during the pandemic and began following her on IG; I enjoyed this book and enjoyed its comedic value. I didn’t agree with some of the topics but appreciated the dive into it them. Good, not too serious read. Jen narration made it way better.

Not my favorite JJ Graves mystery
Revisado: 01-22-24
I had a hard time getting interested in this book; I half heartedly listened to it and wasn’t impressed with the storyline all that much. Also, and not to sound prudish, I’m just over Jake and JJ’s honeymoon phase at this point. We get it, they literally cannot resist each other, but I think it takes away from the storyline and it seems like a lot of the content centers around that vs. the mystery. I wouldn’t recommend this title other than for the continuation of the series.
