Historia
Nora Crowell wants more than her sister’s life as a wife and mother. As WWI rages across the Atlantic, she becomes a lieutenant in the Canadian Army Nursing Corps. But trouble is looming and it won’t be long before the truth comes to light. Having lost her beloved husband in the trenches and with no one else to turn to, Charlotte Campbell now lives with his haughty relations who treat her like the help. It is baby Aileen, the joy and light of her life, who spurs her to dream of a better life. When tragedy strikes in Halifax Harbour, nothing for these two women will ever be the same again.

Historia
Jon Ward's life is divided in half: two decades inside the evangelical Christian bubble and two decades outside of it. In Testimony, Ward tells the engaging story of his upbringing in, and eventual break from, an influential evangelical church in the 1980s and 1990s. Ward sheds light on the evangelical movement's troubling political and cultural dimensions, tracing the ways in which the Jesus People movement was seduced by materialism and other factors to become politically captive rather than prophetic.

Was Jesus Conservative or Democrat?
Revisado: 12-21-23
I like the wide ranging analysis of the pitfalls of fundamentalism and the exploration of what it really means to live as a Christian and take the Bible seriously. Not just in verse by verse application but it’s full message. Jesus was partly Democrat - served the poor, supported the marginalized loved all to brung the too Him. And Conservative never ever supporting sin. Abortion should not be the only important value. Providing education about relationships and the self worth of a sexually moral life would go far.
Thank you Jon
I don’t live in the US so it was good to hear a “local” address a phenomenon which seems incomprehensible.

Historia
During the winter solstice, on the shortest day and longest night of the year, the ancient burial chamber at Newgrange is empowered. Its mystifying source is a haunting tale told by locals. Professor O’Kelly believes an archaeologist’s job is to make known only what can be proved. He is undeterred by ghost stories, idle speculation, and caution. Much to the chagrin of the living souls in County Meath. As well as those entombed in the sacred darkness of Newgrange itself. They’re determined to protect the secret of the light, guarded for more than 5,000 years.
