Historia
Welcome to the Myrtles, the most haunted house in America. In this spine-tingling chronicle, Frances tells the story of how she was drawn to this former plantation mansion, its bone-chilling history, and the incredible encounters of the ghostly kind she had that forever changed her beliefs about the supernatural - and just may change yours.

Can’t stop listening to.!!
Revisado: 09-18-24
I’ve read the book years ago, my daughter and I have spent many nights at the Myrtle’s Plantation in the last 10 years. The book explained a lot of the experiences we had. I heard the Indian war drums one night (all night long) we were with a group of 5 in the Coco House that night, no one heard them except me. The book talks about the drums and other things we experienced over the years. After reading the book and listening to it again, I don’t think I want to go back there.!! 😩😩. The book is excellent.!!

Historia
Based on two years of fieldwork and interviews with 71 Midwestern Americans, the Waskuls' book is a reflexive ethnography that examines how people experience ghosts and hauntings in everyday life. The authors explore how uncanny happenings become ghosts and the reasons people struggle with or against a will to believe. They present the variety and character of hauntings and ghostly encounters, outcomes of people telling haunted legends, and the nested consequences of ghostly experiences.

Very detailed about the investigations
Revisado: 09-13-24
Not what I was expecting, author spent more time on telling how, when and why he interviewed people and visited places. Was more about how to interview and investigate haunted places than actual haunted stories.!! When he finally got around to telling the stories they were good but very slow to get started with the hauntings.

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

I really enjoyed this reading, I couldn’t stop reading it, being from Deep South Louisiana, I can see in my minds eye everything the author writes about the marsh and bayou’s. Really enjoyed it.
