First rate mysteries.

These books have a feel similar to the Tony Hillerman Navaho mysteries. The characters are likable and realistic, mostly. I also enjoy learning about a unique area and way of life while puzzling out who really did it.

Narrator sounds drunk

Classic book butchered by eccentric narration. It's difficult to distinguish which character is speaking at any given time. Can't possibly listen to more than a few minutes at a time. To make it even worse there is an inane tinkling background tune which also contributes to this fingernails on the black board experience! Ugh!

This is not a book you can read on one sitting. In fact, parts should probably be read more than once.
Definitely, contributed to my overall knowledge of Hitler and the third reich.

Hitler was the star of his own " movie" with himself in the starting role and Wagner providing the sound track. Unfortunately, tens of millions of extras die in the process and much of the world was left in ruins.
Another side of the Third Reich with much new and fascinating insight into one of history's most malign minds.
