Oh Mama. OH MAMA!

This is my first book by A. James and it was amazing! If you're into small town, single mom, teacher next door, he falls first, friends with benefits, flaming hot spice, public play and a super growly MMC, then you MUST listen to this book! As a bonus, there's no angst or 3rd act breakup!

Beautiful Crazy is a heartwarming story about Everett, the new guy in town, and Gemma, widowed and single mom to Sutton. Everett and Gemma run into each other a few times around town before they realize he's her new nextdoor neighbor. From there, they become fast and flirty friends and he enjoys helping her out, hanging out with Sutton, who is also one of his students, and just getting to know them.

I really enjoyed the the easiness of this story and how everything just fell into place for them. Sometimes it's nice to have a fun and relaxing and spicy story without the angst and this will always be one of my comfort listens because of that.

Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais narrated this in duet and it was perfection! Samantha had a southern twang for the role and it completely enhanced the emotional and playful character of Gemma. Connor nailed the nice guy/golden retriever vibe for Everett but where he really shines was his growliness during smexy times. Wow. Wow...

Thank you to TAA and the author for the ALC. All options are my own.

Fake Shot was freaking fabulous! Julia Connors wrote a banger of a follow up to Center Ice and I can't wait to listen to the audiobook again in the future!

Jules is a badass girl boss, who owns a construction company. Colt is the goalie for the Boston Rebels and best friend to Jules' brother. She's always had a crush on him, but he's always been the Rebels resident playboy. Throw in some forced proximity and fake engagement antics, a virgin FMC, and we have ourselves a delicious slow burn, age gap, romance.

I really loved how Jules and Colt worked through their feelings with each other. They were able to be open and honest with each other. They often resorted to witty banter to mask their feelings, but the tension and chemistry was too hard to resist. As the fakeness of their relationship starts to feel more real, Colt encourages Jules to figure out what she wants and why she wants it with him. I love that as much as he was willing to take things further, he didn't want to be just a random hookup for her. They fought to overcome their internal battles to be with each other and won.

Connor Crais and Stella Bloom performed Fake Shot in dual narration and it was PERFECTION! I love when I get to hear a Stella Bloom narration because she makes it feel so real. The emotion, vulnerability, sass, confidence...all of it. She just embodies the character and I feel it. Connor is so good at filthy talking, cocky athlete, but he can also do tenderness and vulnerable really well. I love everything he narrates. Connor and Stella together were chefs kiss!

Thank you Wordsmith Publicity and Julia Connors for the ALC. All thoughts are my own.

*Audio Review*

Center Ice is the first book by Julia Connors that I've read and I really enjoyed it! Drew and Audrey were friends in college and eventually hooked up. Audrey found out she was pregnant, tried to get a hold of Drew, who was now in the NHL, but failed and she ended up raising their son, Graham with the help of family. Five years later, Drew is now playing for his home team in Boston and runs into Audrey at his agent's house, who happens to be Audrey's brother. Drew also meets Graham there and is able to quickly connect the dots. The rest of the book revolves around Drew trying to change his image in the NHL and with Audrey and them figuring out how to co-parent together. Along the way, the chemistry between them fires back up and soon they are falling for each other.

This book really surprised me because it started off kind of slow. I really appreciated how Drew was ready to step up and take responsibility for everything in the past and moving forward as a Dad. Audrey had a great group of family and friends that supported her and Graham and it was lovely to see that throughout the book. I also loved all the reactions to people finding out that Drew was the father. It all played out very nicely and I was really rooting for Drew, Audrey and Graham to be a happy family in the end.

Andi Arndt and Teddy Hamilton narrated this book and did a fabulous job as always! It's dual narration and Andi and Teddy are two of my favs when it comes to narrating the other characters.

Rival Hero is the first book I've read by Jackie Walker and it won't be the last. It's book 4 in her Redleg Security series and I'm always hesitant to read a book in the middle of a series because I'm afraid I'll miss out on so much from the previous books and get lost in this book I'm reading. Well I'm here to report that I never felt lost following all the characters and I loved all the characters and when I finished Rival Hero, I immediately purchased the first 3 audiobooks in the series!

I LOVE when Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon narrate together and they were fantastic in bringing Mia and Klein to life! Jason really brought out the endearing and aloofness in Klein while also being hot and dominating. Erin was fabulous with making Mia sassy, confident and sexy! They were amazing!

Overall, this book had suspense, lots of silliness and laughter and tons of heat! I enjoyed it so much and I can't wait to listen to the rest of the series!

**Audiobook Review**

This is an amazing story about two kids who were destined to be together despite everything that gets in their way. From parental control (or lack there of) to a baby and a music career, Levi and Sav were apart more than they were together. There was a strong connection between them and they couldn't stay away from one another as hard as they tried. Between Never and Forever is a beautiful and emotional story about childhood friends, friends-to-lovers, second chances and fighting for the well deserved HEA. Also included, lots of yummy spice and a spunky a little girl.

The audiobook is AMAZING! It's performed in duet by Jacob Morgan and Angelina Rocca. These two together were MAGIC! The narration was emotional, poignant, gritty and powerful. It honestly felt like I was living in a real life love story. Fantastic pairing! Plus Angelina sings and is fabulous!

I loved this story and I really hope you will too. I highly recommend listening to it as it enhanced the story so much!

Unfortunately this book missed the high bar the previous books in the series have set. Character building was minimal, the story was boring and far reaching and the "drama" towards the end was ridiculous. I had higher hopes for Beau's story and the tropes are some of my favs but I was letdown. Also, Beau was the least dirty talking brother and that was seriously disappointing. 😂 Not much spice in this book. Plenty of edging though.

Angelina Rocca and Jason Clarke did an excellent job with the narration and kept me invested in finishing the story.

Evermore With You is the emotional and poignant second chance romance follow up to Erin Spencer's More With You. While this book could be a standalone, it is so much more meaningful if you've read or listened to the first book. Our hearts broke with More With You, but they were put back together with Evermore With You.

This book takes place two years later and we find that Summer, while still grieving the loss of Ben, is ready to move on. She meets Rowan, who she unexpectedly feels a connection worth exploring with. In doing this, she needs to close the chapter on Ben which, as a listener who cannot relate, was truly heartbreaking. Rowan is patient and understanding about where Summer is at and is ready to share space in her heart with the memory of Ben.

Ava Erickson and Jason Clarke narrate as Summer and Rowan. I don't know what it is about listening to Ava, but she brings out the beauty and emotion in every story. Jason is so good as Rowan and brings out his awkwardness with such charm. They were so good together and I highly recommend listening to the book!

Mine to Keep is book #4 in the Protection series by Kennedy L. Mitchell. I previously read the first book in the series. I know there's some crossover with certain characters, but it didn't impact the story to the point where I felt lost or confused. That being said, this was a really enjoyable romantic suspense! The main characters are Rhyan and Charlie, both FBI profilers and the way they went about their jobs was super interesting to me. The story itself was intriguing and kept me engaged from start to finish.

Rhyan was a smart lady with great intuition and a tough exterior, but on the inside, she was anxious and had low self confidence due to a previous relationship. Charlie was tattooed, pierced and fit (aka sexy!) but didn't do well with all the attention he got from the ladies and a nerd at heart. Together they had great chemistry and were a great team.

Teddy Hamilton and Maxine Mitchell narrated this book and did an excellent job. Teddy always sounds amazing and he will forever be one of my favs. Maxine is excellent in her own right and is fantastic at bringing the right amount of vulnerability to the character. I always enjoy books narrated by this amazing duo!

The Leaves in Autumn was such a wonderful way to closeout the Lyon Family series by Leslie Pike. It may even be my favorite story from the series! I absolutely loved the friends to lovers relationship between Argon and Barbara. Argon, who has let past traumas stand in the way of his happiness, takes really difficult and important steps to free him from his pain. Barbara, is a free spirit with big plans to travel the world. Together they form a strong friendship which leads to strong feelings.

I really enjoyed the growth between the main characters in this story. They have a beautiful friendship and strong family ties. I also really enjoyed the role the older kids played in this story. It was nice to see how they have grown up into young men.

Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke do a beautiful job bringing the characters to life in the audiobook. They have great chemistry together! Such heartfelt narration!

*Audiobook Review*

I was really excited to receive an ALC for More With You, by Erin Spencer, because it was narrated by Ava Erickson and Zachary Webber. I tend to be pretty narrator driven when picking my books and Ava and Zach are two of my favorites. I had no idea what kind of story this was going to be however. This book is based on true events in Erin's life and knowing that automatically elevates the importance of the story. The Introduction and Author's Note were incredibly influential in how I felt throughout the book and the closure that I desperately needed.

In this book, you will get a small town romance, single father, age gap, so much romance, heartbreak and all the feels. If you're into all of those, I highly recommend this book. If you're not into some of them, please still read/listen. This book is beautiful and endearing love story, but also devastating. I still haven't recovered from it, but I love it all the same. Ava Erickson is AMAZING in her narration! I always love listening to her soothing voice, but her performance in More With You was full of feelings and emotions. Zachary Webber narrated the journal entries with such poignancy and humility. They were both phenomenal.

The story is set on the Gulf Coast in Mississippi in a small town with rich people and rich opinions. We meet Summer, an only child who had a difficult childhood, currently a black jack dealer at a casino, and doesn't stay too long in one place. Next we meet Ben, son of wealthy parents who have a hold over much of the town, artistic, romantic and a single father. When Summer and Ben meet each other, it's magical. They have instant chemistry and they both recognize it. The book tells their story through Summer's POV and Ben's journal entries. It's a whirlwind romance and they fall fast and hard for each other despite the challenges they face by people they should be able to trust.
