Historia
Returning to the territory he so brilliantly explored in his masterful New York Times best seller American Gods, the incomparable Neil Gaiman offers up a work of dazzling ingenuity, a kaleidoscopic journey deep into myth that is at once startling, terrifying, exhilarating, and fiercely funny, a true wonder of a novel that confirms Stephen King's glowing assessment of the author as "a treasure house of story, and we are lucky to have him."

Great!
Revisado: 06-23-09
I love Neil Gaiman. This book was really enjoyable. The narrator was fantastic. I think Gaiman is such a great storyteller and it makes his books wonderful in the audio format. I could easily listen to Anansi Boys and Neverwhere again and again. And I can't wait to download his other books!

OK, but kind of dull
Revisado: 04-28-09
This book was just OK. The narrator went a bit over the top and it was difficult to like any of the characters. There were parts that were interesting because I learned a lot about the role of women during that time, but the story itself wasn't great.

Historia
Clare and Henry have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was 36. They were married when Clare was 23 and Henry was 31. Impossible but true, because Henry is one of the first people diagnosed with Chrono-Displacement Disorder: periodically his genetic clock resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity from his life, past and future. His disappearances are spontaneous, his experiences unpredictable, alternately harrowing and amusing.

Suspend your disbelief
Revisado: 03-27-09
I really enjoyed this book. Some parts are pretty sappy, but it is a love story told in an original way. The narrators weren't outstanding and sometimes mispronounced words, but they weren't terrible, either. I am a biologist and I had a little trouble accepting the author's biological explanation for time travel. But when you let those things go and accept the story as fiction, it was very entertaining.

Historia
Sophie Kinsella's debut is a romp through the perils of shopping and spending, spending, spending! Becky can't resist a sale, and she's only a little overdrawn on her VISA. Readers will laugh aloud at Becky's retail adventures as she finds new and creative ways to relieve her increasingly credit card debt. Emily Gray's narration bounces along with Becky and her buying whims, while delivering a humorous account of what happens when credit goes bad.

Ugh!
Revisado: 03-27-09
This was a tedious listen. The story was aimless and didn't have a real plot. The character was unlikable and stupid. And parts of the book were simply lists of things this silly girl would buy if she were to have a lot of money. Or the charges on her credit card statements. I not really sure why I listened to the whole thing, so there must have been something that kept me sort of interested. So that's why it get's 2 stars instead of just 1.

I really enjoy all of the Last Apprentice recordings. The narrator is fantastic and you can really tell the difference between each of his characters.
