When the Dickenson clan sits down for Thanksgiving dinner in 2016, it is the last holiday where their tight-knit family will ever be the same. Oldest brother Pete and his wife are expecting their first child. Youngest sibling Sophie is too busy running her restaurant. The Little Plum, to bother with any kind of social life. And middle child Charlie’s happy, uncomplicated life as a midwestern science professor is upended when his wife Annette is diagnosed with a terminal illness. Knowing this will be her last Thanksgiving, Annette asks Sophie to look after Charlie after she’s gone.

Historia
The way Jesus tells it, if we give up on belonging in order to follow him, we'll find ourselves belonging anyway. We might not belong the way other people do, with normal homes and normal families and normal ways of fitting in. But we'll belong in a way that's a hundred times better. We'll be fully in place because we know we are out of place. We'll belong like aliens.

Much appreciated thoughts on community in Christ. Especially the stories of being gay and Christian.

Informative
Revisado: 04-21-21
The information is very helpful for Christians willing to serve the glbt community. The audio book probably didn't have a high production budget, so there are a few spots here and there whete there are noticeable bloopers, however that's inconsequential. Kathy Baldock has done the work of researching and is sharing her findings here.

Historia
When Conrad Davis crashes his car, he should be dead. Instead, he finds himself in a parallel universe with a single difference from ours - Jesus Christ did not come 2000 years ago! Conrad finds himself in the midst of events surrounding a man named Eli - events that carry strong contemporary echoes of the life of Jesus. Following Eli, Conrad is challenged to accept what he witnesses, just as Christ’s apostles must have been challenged. Eli gives a unique twist to a question many people have asked themselves over the past two millennia: How would I react if I lived in the time of Jesus?

I flooded the story well. It didn't end as I thought it might, but the ending made sense, too. Grateful Bill Myers wrote the book.

Historia
Untangled describes in one word what each of us long for: freedom. But what happens when life's fumbles get buried in the chambers of our souls? Our minds tend to forget, but our hearts never do. And if we are not careful, we learn how to live walking with a limp. Untangled is the story of how God helped unravel the hurt and hopelessness that had Michele tangled up for so long. Knot by knot, chapter by chapter, you will travel with God through Michele's life and witness true redemption, leaving you hungry to experience the same deep healing.

So grateful to finally hear this book!
Revisado: 04-23-19
I heard about this book years before its release during an interview Michele did in Nashville on the Brian Mason Show. I'm grateful that she wrote her story for others to learn from and be encouraged. I hope to soon feel more of my life story untangled, too. Thank you, Michele!
