Deputy US Marshal Eli Kohn is doing fine. As the Director of Public Affairs for the Northern District, he represents the USMS in Chicago and that suits him. Yes, it’s wearing to always be on, to smile and wave even in the face of adversity, but he’s good at his job, and no one ever sees him sweat. His personal life, though, has been stagnant, and that doesn’t seem likely to change. But that’s fine too. Eli would much rather spend his free time with his best friend Cel. And lately, when they’re not together, he’s been missing him more and more….

I Get It
Revisado: 12-27-22
I had read some of the other reviews about the change in narrator for Eli's story and I agree that it does lack nuance in areas but we don't read Mary Calmes for the narration though let's be honest Tristan James has pretty much spoiled us for anyone else, we read it for the story and that was worth dealing with a different narrator for. Eli is not Sam, Ian, or even Miro he is a different kind of character, and his story, therefore, should not be judged by or even against the others. I loved Eli in the other books and I am glad he got his HEA. Also, I'm super glad we got to have the secret revealed about Jer's real name that was a payoff years in the making. We also get to see our boys in a sort of after the break up of our favorite team and they are all still in each other's lives and living happy lives and thriving in their new roles and that too is an amazing payoff. I thought the story was engaging and entertaining and these characters are like old friends at this point so seeing them all is like a happy reunion. I want more of these beautiful men. sooo hope Mary can come up with a reason for our boys to get the band back together again.

Binged it!
Revisado: 12-09-20
Johnny Sims is probably one of the most talented horror writers out there right now. This podcast and the amazing cast do such an incredible job of bringing the horror to life I was legit scared in some places and cried in others and probably like everyone who has listened to this podcast you have your favorites. Mine? Martin and Michael.
John, the archivist starts off bumpy, you will probably hate him at first but he grows on you so stick it out. There are so many characters to love here and the storyline is freaking amazing and incredibly expansive. My niece is the one that got me hooked on this series and I have suggested it to everyone I think would enjoy it.
There are inclusions for LGBT+ peeps and that also makes me super happy! So buckle up listeners, it's gonna be a heckuva ride.

Prince Renford is a royal brat. Nineteen and last in line for the throne, Wren hates his made-up job: commander of roses. Good thing his long-time valet has a firm hand. If only Wren could tempt him to break all palace protocol and use it. Thom Pierce is 16 years older. Old enough to know he should ignore his prince's less-than-subtle flirtation. He's been burned by a higher-ranked boy before.

Simply Amazing
Revisado: 08-11-20
Ren and Thom made my heart so happy. Their story unfolded like a dream and watching the young prince find both himself and that one person that really sees him is amazing to read and even better to listen to. This was the first time I've ever experienced this narrator and he did an amazing job,
In case you are not aware this is a series of books but I found that having not read any of the others (yet but I will after having read and listened to this one) I had no problem whatsoever following along.
I've read other Daddy/Boy relationship books but I've never experienced anything like what Ed has delivered wrapped up in a beautiful bow here. It treats the subject matter delicately because it is amazingly easy for relationships like this devolve into "Me big alpha male you do what I say". Thom truly loves and respects Ren both as his boy and as his prince. He fights his feelings and you get to experience the pain that, that fight causes him. You feel Ren's heartache and you see very clearly how much these two fit together and when they finally succumb the ride is magnificently told.
There are some twists but for what kind of story this is it is a relatively low angst book which I have to say is kinda nice because while there is some court politics they aren't the focus of the story. The unveiling of this amazing true love story is the focal point of the book as it should be the other things are peripheral. I highly encourage you to give this book a chance. Now I have to go buy the other books because this magical place has drawn me in and these brothers are gonna be fun to watch :) Enjoy dear readers.

Oh Boy!
Revisado: 06-24-20
I loved Aaron in all of the books, he reminded me of a friend of mine and like I hoped for my friend I wanted this poor misunderstood boy to find his forever.
Aaron's attitude is heartbreaking because he truly doesn't believe he's worth more than a night and has convinced himself out of necessity that, that is all he wants and it's just achingly horrifying. Not unreasonable given his history but still sad. Ed has a way of making you care and you get invested in them finding their happiness. Wishing you could imbue them with confidence or showing them that they are worth so much more than what they believe. It's a talent.
Quinn is traditional and has so much to offer and he just wants so much to give it and when he finds Aaron he wants to offer him all of it. Unfortunately Aaron is just not willing to accept that love is even a reality much less a possibility.
Watching them is a joy and you wanna cheer and cry and kick the antagonists butt. Of the series this one might be my favorite. So worth the wait and Greg is awesome as always. Hope you enjoy this wonderful story :)

One summer won’t be enough.... Kaenon Geary was done fighting the small minds in his sleepy Texas town when he made his escape and never looked back. But now, for the first time in more than a decade, he’s returned to Braxton to spend the summer with his beloved grandmother - her final summer - and no longer recognizes the home he’d left behind all those years ago. Transformative Magic
Revisado: 03-20-20
Those are the only two words I can use to describe this absolutely beautiful story. I found myself laughing and crying and angry and hopeful all at once. The story begs multiple listens/readings especially in our current climate. It offers hope after bitter betrayal and teaches love despite every single thing telling you otherwise and can't we all just use a little love in our lives? Being reminded to forgive doesn't necessarily mean forgotten and that those scars we bare forever that make us who and what we were doesn't always mean it's who we always have to be. Loving is magic and it can transform a desert into a garden of wonders. Just believe and you can see the world is a garden and loving it despite the horrors it can offer can transform it into an oasis in a desert.
PS Greg could read the phone book and make it sound like the most amazing thing you've ever heard. Just sayin :)

Historia
Do you believe in love at first sight? Corey Ellis sure doesn't. Oh, everyone around him seems to have found their happy ending, but he's far too busy to worry about such things. He'll have plenty of time for romance after he survives his last summer before graduation. So what if he can't get his former professor, Jeremy Olsen, out of his head? It's nothing more than hero worship. And that's the way it should stay. Except bi-gender Corey - aka Kori - is interning at Phoenix House for the summer, an LGBTQI youth center, and the director just so happens to be a certain former professor.

Loved the Book
Revisado: 02-14-20
OK..here's my disclaimer..I LOVED this book when I read it and I have loved absolutely every single book in this entire series. However...Sean Crisden...while I love his narration in the BOATK (Bear, Otter and The Kid) series it was not at all good for this characters story. He didn't convey the sass that is Corey/Kori I just kept thinking to myself...why is Otter in this book. Maybe that's just me and I have typecast him as that group of characters but there was some pronunciation problems and just not the voice in my internal voice cannon. The book itself is amazing truly, wayyyy more political than any of the others in the series but that's not a drawback. So for those readers who have loved the entire series you might be a little disappointed in the narration of this iteration. There are moments that are well performed but overall not the Corey/Kori I was looking forward to journeying with. I love your other work Sean I really do I just wanted more from Corey/Kori.

A Christmas Love Story
Revisado: 02-03-20
My father bought this book for me for as a belated Christmas present after he'd listened to it and he enthused so much about it that I have to admit I already had high expectations. What I got, though was so much more than I expected. It was heartwarming, funny, scary and ultimately a story about finding yourself on a trip you never thought to take. A journey that teaches you a new way to see yourself and all you've done and been but not just to yourself but to those around you. Each member of this motley crew of characters added so much depth and richness to the telling that without one of them the story might not have as good as it was.
I've never read a written book by this author before but I have to give this book 2 thumbs way up on it and the narration was incredible. Though it was given as a gift, it is in itself a gift too. Because it reminds us that we might find the missing parts we lost of ourselves again somewhere along the way and in a place you are least likely to look. Happy Reading.

Love is Blue
Revisado: 02-02-20
The feels of this amazingly told story cannot be understated. Ezra and Rusty might be my favorite of all the Hart stories.
The incorporation of all the nautical themes are amazing and so well presented that it made me want to ask Ed if he was a secret sailor himself. The audio visual expertly brought to life by Greg. Such an excellent book. Enjoy sailing away for a while and you'll believe it too. Love for Rusty and Ezra is blue.

Finding Your Strength
Revisado: 12-12-19
Colt and Rain's story is about finding your strength. Strength in who you are, and strength to become who you want to be. There are of course obstacles in the way of finding that strength and in this story it comes in the way of Rain's own family most especially Floyd who by the end of this book you'd very much like to see used as chum for any sharks that might be living in Hart's Bay...maybe even helped by Lucy the town's seal mascot.
But it is in finding your own truth and being willing to see it that you grow and you do see an incredible amount of growth in this book. Rain learns to accept even that which is hard (that his family are a bunch of hate mongering homophobes) while Colt finds the strength to let someone into the shadowed places in his heart that he has never dared show anyone else.
It has all the feels that make an E. Davies book an incredible journey to take and heat enough to remind you that connections are also physical and not just emotional. Greg does a stellar job as usual. So if you are looking for a great journey I highly suggest taking this one. The scenery is beautiful and your companions on the journey are pretty amazing.

Revisado: 12-08-19
Each one of these amazingly told books is like a respite from the darkness of the world. They are low angst without being boring and sweet without becoming unbelievable in a bad way. The Riley's are an amazing group of men who become an unstoppable force for love. I cannot say enough good things about these books because it's not just about the bonds of blood that creates this beautiful group but the bonds of love that create these books stories of chosen family. The novellas give a look at the ever afters but not gonna lie I still want more stories. So hop on that Ed :)
The narration as always is amazing! This offering will give you hours and hours of pure enjoyment. Enjoy.
