Historia
Why we think it’s a great listen: Seabiscuit was a runaway success, and Hillenbrand’s done it again with another true-life account about beating unbelievable odds. On a May afternoon in 1943, an Army Air Forces bomber crashed into the Pacific Ocean and disappeared, leaving only a spray of debris and a slick of oil, gasoline, and blood. Great book about a harrowing story of our military in WW2. This concentrated in a few individuals but happened to thousands in different ways. This book is a must listen too book. And Edward Hermann does a great job telling it to us.

Historia
In this remarkable WWII story by New York Times best-selling author John R. Bruning, a renegade American pilot fights against all odds to rescue his family - imprisoned by the Japanese - and revolutionizes modern warfare along the way. From the knife fights and smuggling runs of his youth to his fiery days as a pioneering naval aviator, Paul Irving "Pappy" Gunn played by his own set of rules and always survived on his wits and fists. But when he fell for a conservative Southern belle, her love transformed him from a wild and reckless airman to a cunning entrepreneur.

Revisado: 11-25-23
People’s lives, even with less drama than the Plauche’s, is messy. I remember this i was not much older though an adult and living less than 20 miles from this. No detail has been held and it needs to be there, so we know all the perspectives to come away with the right attitude.
