Excellent handling of difficult topic
Revisado: 02-18-25
This book, as a novel, looks at abortion from many perspectives. Holding to a strong Biblical basis, the many heartaches for those who have had one or are considering one are revealed, even after rape. Good for all young people to read once they are mature and to understand.

Historia
In the South, you always say “yes, ma’am” and “no, ma’am.” You know everybody’s business. Football is a lifestyle, not a pastime. Food — especially dessert — is almost a religious experience. And you protect your friends as fiercely as you protect your family — even if the threat is something you cannot see.

Beautiful story of friendship
Revisado: 12-11-24
It may take southern women to understand some of the humor, but the live story of friends is universal.

Historia
The War on Warriors uncovers the deep roots of our dysfunction—a society that has forgotten the men who take risks, cut through red tape, and get their hands dirty. The only kind of men prepared to face the dangers that the Left pretends don’t exist. Unlike issues of education or taxes or crime, this problem doesn’t have a zip code solution. We can’t move away from it. We can’t avoid it. We have only one Pentagon. Either we take it back or surrender it altogether.

Honest, historical , current and entertaining. He does apologize straight the end for the “Army language”. The letter to his 5 sons was very inspirational.

Heralded as an instant classic of fantasy literature, Maguire has written a wonderfully imaginative retelling of The Wizard of Oz told from the Wicked Witch's point of view. More than just a fairy tale for adults, Wicked is a meditation on the nature of good and evil.

Too long and boring

For me, this book makes no sense except to bash people of Faith. A poor introduction to the Wizard of Oz.

This book attempts to normalize SSA. I must not have read the description clear enough as I thought I was reading another WW2 book. Not about the war, about a group of people who were somewhat devoted to one another but full of human frailties and sin. Not for children. I wish I could return.

Not as good as the first
Revisado: 07-28-23
While I understand every book has to stand alone, the author repeats phrases many times in each book and from the first to the second- word for word. It almost caused me to stop listening. The story line is sweet but very predictable. I do love the emphasis on a good God and the proof that you can tell a good story without graphic sex, though that really is the basis of the book. The spiritual battle between good and evil.
