Historia
It’s Valentine’s Day weekend, and Charlotte and Seth are not looking for romance. Armed with emotional-support bear spray, Charlotte is in self-imposed isolation and on guard from men. Having a stalker can do that to a person’s nerves. Just across the hall and giving off woodsy vibes is Seth, a recently divorced arborist. As in today recently. Heights, he’s fine with. Trust? Not so much.

There are only two likable main characters in this book. The female describe and the little girls.
Lots of secrets and deception to unfold, a lot of cross interconnecting stories.
It was predictable however

Narrators are horrible! No emotion, no inflection, boring
Revisado: 04-14-25
This was a train wreck ! The FMC was childish and irritating!
This had a story line that was all over the place and took until the last 3 chapters to go anywhere! The rest of the book is made up of sex, sex, and more sex. Complete waste of my credit!

Hated the FMC. Yes she had heartbreak and trauma, yes she had more responsibility than she should have had to shoulder. However, she was misleading, chaotic, and a bit manipulative.
Josh was too good for her.

Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. First off- HORRIBLE FEMALE
NARRATOR!! There is so much wrong with her narration that it’s hard to know where to begin. Save your money and your credit!
2- Teddy Hamilton doesn’t narrate until the LAST chapter! So we are treated by the female narrators horrific rendition of
A) herself, B) the MMC, C) the male dragon, D) every other male character!
3- Violet is chosen by the meanest, scariest, 2nd largest and most vicious dragon. Everyone is afraid of him…
YET, she talks to him in such a rude way and has zero respect for his power!
She voices his narration and it is the most pathetic attempt
4) there is dialogue between the FMC, MMC, + 3 dragons that happens inside their heads and it’s NEVER disguised from regular conversation and it’s SO confusing!!
5) the FMC groans and complains about not receiving her power yet, but when she does and she has to kill someone she whines, complains, and wallows in self deprecating monologue that it’s frustrating!
6) the FMC is SO UNLIKABLE!!

As with the last book, this one had TOO MANY SONGS!!!! Too many songs that took away from the story.
It made it hard to listen to.
The name “Lenora Dove” was mentioned at least 300 times!!!! More than over done!
This book does answer some questions, lots of names from Book 1,2,&4 are mentioned
Haymitch’s is a sad one, I wish there was more story development and LESS SONGS and the mention of “Lenora Dove”… it’s was nauseating

Historia
Weston Belmont. The man is a shameless flirt. He oozes confidence and masculinity in a way that’s downright distracting. And in bed? He’s addictive. Everything with him is wild and impulsive and I’m desperate to regain some control. But no one has supported me like West does. And no one has ever made me feel as loved as he does either. So, while my brain says settling down with a small-town horse trainer is impossible… my heart says I’m right where I belong.
