I was always trying to think ahead

but the author was always at least one step ahead of me. I finished listening to this in two day which is great because I had so many other things to do! The narrator was sort of bland, but once I got used to her cadence, I found that it allowed me to really hear the author's words. Excellent work by all, and I liked it better than I thought that I would!

My favorite Freida book!

Freida writes such strong stories with twists that I usually don't see coming but really love. This book was no exception. The narrator was very good, but a little over the top on many occasions. I'm rating it a solid "5" though because I would buy and listen to it again.

Excellent narration by Scott Brick

I really liked the book, overall. Mark Winegardner has done The Godfather proud, even though this book tells a different story of the characters. I felt that there were some slow spots in the book, but the tense, exciting parts more than made up for it. Scott Brick again brings life and excitement to this story!

Great story / Great Naration

I loved the fleshing out of the characters in this book. I liked / disliked so many characters that it was interesting to get a deep look at what they might have thought as they went through the lives that they lead.
Scott Brick is amazing, as always. He never hits a wrong note in his performances! As for Mark Gardener, I think that he was the perfect person to write this book. What a great understanding of the characters! I loved this book and performance!

Story & Narration

No matter how many times I have listened to this book, (and it's been a LOT!) I have never tired of it. There are some sad and some serious issues, but there are also some laugh-out-loud moments as well. This is one of my all-time favorite listens, and the author does a wonderful job narrating his own book, which is not usually the case! Worth buying!!

Unusual Thriller

I don't remember how I heard about this book, but I am so glad that I took a chance on it. The premise sounded interesting - three young women, killed by a guy they met on a dating site, trying to save other women, and ultimately his wife and daughters from death.
The story was SO much better than I thought it would be; even believable!! The narration made an excellent book even better.
I have already recommended it to friends and strangers alike, and I am recommending it to you as well. No coarse language, sexual situations or gruesome descriptions that would have ruined an otherwise amazing book! I will read more by this author when she writes more!

Marvelous, Haunting Story

I loved this book from beginning to end. The prose sounded as poetic as the poetry, and the haunting narration increased my enjoyment. I was hoping that the poetry books that are also available would be available, narrated by the same narrator. As far as I can tell, however, no Audible version is available. I will order as a physical book.

I love Army Harmony’s novels and Tovia Gilbert’s narrations, so this was a no-brainer for me. Even with that said, I do believe that this is one of the best books I have read/listened to in years, and definitely my #1 favorite so far this year. It’s one I will listen to again just to enjoy it all over again!
