Narration was lousy,I'd skip this one all together
Revisado: 11-08-22
I so desperately wanted to enjoy this book bc I love D.K. Hood and the story line was great! I never go by the comments that say "narrator was awful" bc when I sample it, it's never that bad or it's fine all together. This one though, I had a tough time. Every character's voice was almost exactly the same and I just couldn't get through it as I usually do. Each book takes me between 2 & 3 days to get through bc I only listen in my free time and when I'm driving but this book was over a week. Wonderful premise and characters but that narration was just lousy. The ending was very unexpected too, and not in a good way. I was quite disappointed with "who done it." All in all 3 STARS and I'm being quite generous with that. I would skip this this one all together.

Wasn't sure about this one at first....
Revisado: 08-28-22
Wasn't sure about this one at first but I'm glad I gave it a shot. The story line keeps you interested right from the beginning and lasts until the end. Very pleased with this book as a whole. I am very picky about the endings of books and movies. I'm never quite satisfied with them for one reason or another but this book was great from the 1st to the last page! I love reading and so appreciate this app while I'm driving. Found myself with my earbuds in all week ,(I'm on vacation), and was sad to see it end. Wish this was a series. I'd be jumping in to the next one ASAP! Enjoy the read, totally worth the credit and then some!

PHENOMENAL.... AS ALWAYS!
Revisado: 08-26-22
Loved it! I never have a hard time following her story lines or keeping my attention. I have read every book she's written and to this day, have yet to be disappointed. She's an amazing writer and story teller. Her discrimination is so great that reading/listening to her books is more like watching a movie in my head. Love that about her. Definitely my #1 favorite author and of course my favorite narrator! Early is always wonderful! Her voice instantly transports me to such a comfortable place, emotionally and that puts me in a space of open mindedness and excitement to begin a new book. Now that I've finished this book, I'm going re-read Will Trent series (for the 3rd time). My 2nd favorite series of all time! Of course Ms. Sarah Linton being my #1!!! Still missing Jeffrey tho .... lol

Wow! Just wow! How utterly heartbreaking. This family's strength is immeasurable. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. As a mother I pray to never know this pain. Karma is an unruly being with no discrimination and she/they (ex-husband included) will certainly get what's coming to them, God willing.
