If you need to smile, laugh, and enjoy so,w sexy scenes this book and series is amazing. The narrators are everything, so perfect, I love the interactive narration. I’m not sure what that’s called but I hope to find more books like this. Can we just have a whole book of mama Brodie’s drunk text lol. I would for real listen to that! I can’t say this enough the narrators throughout this series are amazing and it was put together perfectly.

The narrators are PERFECT

Ok so the narrators kept me going. I love to duel narration, I read mostly duet audibles but this was slightly different. They actually narrated together like having a conversation. Most duets I’ve listened to have a chapter for each individual narrators. The story itself was good. Charlotte’s internal monologue got annoying at times. She was constantly thinking escape. I get that she was forced to marry him to save her dads life but she choice to save her dads life. So why does she keep trying to escape? Does she just not care about her dad anymore? I mean he’s not a good man or father but she was so adamant that she couldn’t let him be killed. I wish there was a little more steam between them, I will get the second book to see what happened and I would listen to this just for the narrators alone!

So I’ve read this series before a couple times and I’ve always enjoyed it. Twist and turns and the progression of their relationship. I love James’ voice by Brian Meslar but I was thrown by Michael’s voice. When I’ve read the series I invisioned him as the all american guy. I never took him as someone with an accent. I’m not good with accents but I think it’s British? I also wish Charlotte’s responses was done by a women. Brian Meslar does a good job but he also portrays her as British which does not go with the book. But with the story being as good as it is and Brian’s voice being smooth and wonderful to listen to I can look past that an enjoy the story. I recommend it.
