I just finished this book and want to listen again. Each chapter, dare I say portrait, of an artist, and their works is thrilling, enlightening, entertaining. I am so grateful to have listened to it. It was a joy.

Russell Brand is honest, thoughtful, and an artist of the English language. Despite some theological and cultural differences, many profound truths are contained in this book. I was transported by his writing. This book is a true delight!

Medved’s book contains fascinating details of history. Highly recommend!!

My only criticism is that he reads read the book himself. He is not a great reader, inflection is off, awkward, pauses, impersonations were subpar and shouldn’t have been attempted.

Although a radio personality, he should have hired an actor or professional to read his book.

Pearce Should Have Narrated

Unfortunately, I returned this Audible book after trying to listen to it. kevin O'Brien, has an unappealing stacatto delivery that distracts from the text. Powerful History and a Warning

Anyone who thinks Ronald Reagan was an intellectual light-weight or warmongering hawk should read this book. Those who view Pope John Paul as an authoritarian misogynist should read this book. We in the United States must look at the social collapse in Venezuela, and take heed at the rising fervor for socialism. This and “Witness” by Whittaker Chambers are MUST READS!!

Thank you, Mr. Sinise, for your service, your witness, and an excellent book. All people in this country would benefit from reading this especially millennial’s who have not learned – at least some of them – the beauty and importance of this country.

Perhaps more importantly, those who embrace socialism need to read this book. Freedom isn’t free, and the socialist utopia kills freedom and dignity.

Thank you, Michael Medved, for a wonderful book. The only thing lacking? I wish it were updated to 2015 and offered a section on the damage that POTUS Barack Obama has done to this country.
