Historia
In his electrifying first novel Joe Buff instantly established himself as the ultimate chronicler of 21st-century warfare by taking military fiction and submarine combat to a new level of authenticity, vision, and power. Thunder in the Deep picks up where Deep Sound Channel left off, bringing to life a frightening seascape where technology pushes warriors to new extremes, and warriors push technology to the max. This time the difference between victory and defeat hinges on the two most advanced nuclear attack submarines in the world.

Just didn't cut it!
Revisado: 01-19-06
Hard as I tried, I just could not really get involved in this book. It may have been the narration, which I felt was choppy, lacking in emotion and style. It may have been the lack of a consistent plot, or lack of development and attachment to characters. Whatever it was, I just could not lose myself in the story, One should not have to work to stay involved.

There is hope!

I have been an Audible listener for a long time, yet I rarely rate books unless I feel very moved. This is one such book. It is truly sad and scary that we have drifted so far from the roots of what this country was founded upon. It is more obvious than ever that we have drifted from our humble forefathers' desires of having a country that offered freedom "of" religion, to one that is advocating freedom "from" religion. This book truly appeals to the spirit inside all men, whatever their affiliation might be, to renew their contact with the One who made us all. Fabulous book! Don't let it pass by!

In a stunning follow-up to her number one best seller Slander, leading conservative pundit Ann Coulter contends that liberals have been wrong on every foreign policy issue, from the fight against Communism at home and abroad, the Nixon and the Clinton presidencies, and the struggle with the Soviet empire right up to today's war on terrorism.

Entertaining while informative
Revisado: 01-16-04
OK, so it is a bit over the top. It is supposed to be, as it is political commentary, not newswriting. By the same token, Ann makes so many undeniably correct, ultimately true points that you cannot help but see where she is coming from, and just say "Amen". (Maybe I should check with the Democrats and the ACLU to see if it is politically correct to say "Amen" in this public forum!)

You'll be awe-inspired by the heroic efforts of the crew of the Endurance, a ship that battled its way for six weeks through thousands of miles of pack ice while ironically only a day's sail from its destination.

The Best You'll Find
Revisado: 05-01-03
I truly enjoy reading the remarkable tales of unsung heroes in this world. Ernest Shackleton is one of them. Start to finish, this book kept me thinking, waiting, and imagining like few books ever have. Forget reality shows, forget mysteries... This book is a dose of "true reality and courage". Absolutely Fabulous!!

Historia
Almost 10 times as many men died in the Civil War prison camps of the North and South as were killed at the Battle of Gettysburg. One such camp was Andersonville, where Union soldiers like Brigade Quartermaster John L. Ransom of the Ninth Michigan Cavalry, were subjected to hunger, disease, cruelty, and despair. Captured in November 1863, Ransom kept his spirits and courage up enough to survive and record this compelling true account of his experiences.

Fabulous!
Revisado: 04-01-03
What an amazing saga! If you did not know it was fact, you would believe that only fiction could be so cruel, and portray such a tale of human suffering and endurance. We take for granted the suffering of others in securing the priveledges that we have. I recommend this highly.
