Historia
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

Bonding to dragons
Revisado: 11-28-23
Without their dragon a rider dies. Interesting plot twist that the rebels are actually good ones and there is more to the world than what is under their borders protected. Dragons have their own laws too like humans to whom they can speak to telepathically. It is a story about two dragons the main character bonds with, each has two wings so four wings?

I can relate to this too much!! I dunno!
Revisado: 04-02-22
Main character works in a print shop. He goes to therapy about not feeling enough. I am actually pretty hooked on this audiobook now. I have sympathy for this Nathan. His boss is kinda toxic. Making money is like hunting, and women are making men rebundant. "or that Finland was real"
He's actually made a movie in Finland? I was going to the gym, which he was kinda shooting at? I don't know.
I say I dunno too!!1 He said that print shop jargon so fast I am not reassured. My 2-year graphic communications degree, teacher told me too I was a genius, like this boss tells Nathan. I guess his work, doesn't matter with the plot? A growth story? In the grand scheme of things. Ha, he's feeling happy! Heureka! I told my own therapist on the first appointment, I have no feelings.
I forgot, artists on Spotify can see the playlist names their songs are on. I made a list on imdb of my top10 male crushes. Wondering if that was private!!1 "If they ask for data, they don't have it"

Identity of Legend revealed!
Revisado: 10-17-18
The book was translated to Valenda in my language. Valenda is where the story takes place. There wasn't anything about the Fates in the previous book and suddenly they are trapped inside some cards for centuries and can change the world forever? The love interests of the sisters weren't that interesting in this book, either. The magic and atmosphere and symbols like roses were most interesting to me and how those were included in the books.

Bold and beautiful epic fantasy?
Revisado: 10-17-18
It took me a year to finish this. I was just watching a youtube channel where people talk about young adult books and they seemed to want a strong femail protagonist in an epic fantasy setting. I read somewhere this was categorized as epic fantasy and the main character is indeed beautiful, deadly and also likes books and sweets even though she might not be scattering glitter everywhere she goes, she is a female assassin. The guys who are into her seem somewhat relatable too but I wouldn't call Calaena a very memorable as a character, I'm on the second book and can hardly remember the name.

Last 8 minutes a day before seeing the film
Revisado: 09-07-18
It took me months to finish listening to it but the time I finished it there was a movie already going on in the cinemas.
I would love to have an ability like the main characters, to make someone forget their every memory of me, so it was also sad - sad in a good way.
I went to see the film with a friend whose liked genre totally isn't young adult, so I couldn't tear down like a waterfall while sitting there.
Currently trying to listen to the sequel book.

Belle de Jour is the nom de plume of a high-class call girl working in London. This is her story. From the summer of 2003 to the autumn of 2004 Belle charted her day-to-day adventures on and off the field in a frank, funny, and award winning web diary. Now, in her Intimate Adventures, Belle elaborates on those diary entries, revealing (among other things) how she became a working girl, what it feels like to do it for money, and where to buy the best knickers for the job.

Not really a call girl, says ex-boyfriend in court
Revisado: 12-14-13
If you could sum up The Intimate Adventures of a London Call Girl in three words, what would they be?
most ancient profession
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
It wasn't a story, she kept a diary. That changes the way you listen.
What does Anonymous bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
French days of the week were nicely pronounced.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The clients who she always says were nice, that actually weren't all so nice, was kind of a white lie but she just did her job and her attitude of just benefiting from everything.

Trish's fear of intimacy was funny
Have you listened to any of Emma Galvin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I don't think I have
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It's a young people's book. There is a movie coming out too... It's sort of funny but so much violence I don't know...

thrilling book
Revisado: 12-14-13
Would you listen to Mockingjay again? Why?
Maybe if I would forget the story but I would listen to the author's note again to understand again why she wrote the book.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Mockingjay?
The death of a couple of the leaders... of which Katniss kills the other one, and people say she lost her mind, but I think it just showed her true fire...
Which character – as performed by Carolyn McCormick – was your favorite?
KATNISS
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes it was.. I had started reading the book but this was better. I was out downtown and shopping but looked concentrated on listening to this

Stephen King returns to the characters and territory of one of his most popular novels ever, The Shining, in this instantly riveting novel about the now middle-aged Dan Torrance (the boy protagonist of The Shining) and the very special 12-year-old girl he must save from a tribe of murderous paranormals. This is an epic war between good and evil, a gory, glorious story that will thrill the millions of hyper-devoted fans of The Shining and wildly satisfy anyone new to the territory of this icon in the King canon.

Frightening as ever
Revisado: 11-11-13
Would you consider the audio edition of Doctor Sleep to be better than the print version?
Not really. I had lots of headache during listening to this or maybe due to the book? I was listening to it before bedtime and sometimes right after waking up. I wouldn't recommend trying to listen to this book within a few days.
What other book might you compare Doctor Sleep to and why?
It is a sequel to The Shining kind of... but that book was epic. This just tells what happened to the characters with a twist of nonhuman creatures.
What about Will Patton’s performance did you like?
His voice was a bit heavy on my ears.
Who was the most memorable character of Doctor Sleep and why?
Dan and Abra and the ghosts and nonhumans were quite memorable. And if you count Overlook Hotel as a character with all it's bad mojo... I was always happy to listen to bits about that
Any additional comments?
Yes, it was a scary at first but I tried getting used to all the paranormal and afterlife stuff... I guess you never get used to things like shining. It is a bit frightening especially if you have some bad tempered people yielding that kind of power
