this guy has obviously spent time in the trenches of working on an hour-by-hour basis. And he understands with the fatigue of having a long day is like. However the focus of the book felt much more on the glass is half empty side than it is on the glass is half-full side.

this is a fabulous book.
Revisado: 05-19-18
this book is very dense. It is chock-full of wonderful lessons on how to live our lives some of them I'm not easy. There is a lot of reference Tyrael material 2 the Christian Bible but he also references other religions and other great philosophers in ancient lessons that can serve as a reference point for pain and suffering that we might be experiencing today. Jordan Peterson, in my opinion, is a fabulous thinker. You seem to have a knack for thinking multiple angles of a subject. It's refreshing to hear somebody speak about topics from multiple points of view. I think that everybody fix this book up will walk away with food for thought.

great information, incomplete delivery
Revisado: 02-15-18
this book is revolutionary. The information in here is cutting-edge and has the potential to change many people's lives. However throughout the entire book there is a reference to surveys questionnaires and some sort of enhancement packet which is nowhere to be found in this audible version. if the whole book hinges on a certain set of surveys and an enhancement then the overall picture delivered here is mediocre at best. Knowing this I would buy the hard back every single day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Historia
Dish up the red meat, eggs, and whole milk! In this well-researched and captivating narrative, veteran food writer Nina Teicholz proves how everything we've been told about fat is wrong. For decades, Americans have cut back on red meat and dairy products full of "bad" saturated fats. We obediently complied with nutritional guidelines to eat "heart healthy" fats found in olive oil, fish, and nuts, and followed a Mediterranean diet heavy on fruits, vegetables, and grains. Yet the nation's health has declined. What is going on?

Eating gat doesn't make you FAT
Revisado: 02-09-18
This is a more accessible digest than the excellent work authored by Gary Taubes. It is very comprehensive in terms of looking at all of the literature around the diet/heart hypothesis. Nina Teicholz does an excellent job of asking critical questions to reveal the flaws in the findings of the low fat dietary recommendations that we all have been bombarded with over the last 60 years. If you or someone you love has heart disease, you should read this book to influence your conversations with your MD. If you are looking for what research shows in regards to get intake and it's effects on health, this is a must read.

Historia
Why is it so hard to make lasting changes in our companies, in our communities, and in our own lives? The primary obstacle is a conflict that's built into our brains, say Chip and Dan Heath, authors of the critically acclaimed best seller Made to Stick. Psychologists have discovered that our minds are ruled by two different systems - the rational mind and the emotional mind - that compete for control. The rational mind wants a great beach body; the emotional mind wants that Oreo cookie.

Historia
Hillbilly Elegy is a passionate and personal analysis of a culture in crisis - that of white working-class Americans. The decline of this group, a demographic of our country that has been slowly disintegrating over 40 years, has been reported on with growing frequency and alarm but has never before been written about as searingly from the inside. J. D. Vance tells the true story of what a social, regional, and class decline feels like when you were born with it hung around your neck.

Revisado: 10-04-17
This book by JD Vance was well written and well-read. The story takes the reader through the struggles of cultural poverty and leads to a happy and successful ending. Along the way the author looks at multiple reasons that this culture exists and educates the reader on multiple aspects of circumstances that make thriving in poverty a very difficult challenge. It's well worth your time.

Historia
The year is 1878, peak of the Texas cattle trade. The place is Dodge City, Kansas, a saloon-filled cow town jammed with liquored-up adolescent cowboys and young Irish hookers. Violence is random and routine, but when the burned body of a mixed-blood boy named Johnnie Sanders is discovered, his death shocks a part-time policeman named Wyatt Earp. And it is a matter of strangely personal importance to Doc Holliday, the frail 26-year-old dentist who has just opened an office at No. 24, Dodge House.

a wonderful highly entertaining performance
Revisado: 04-14-17
this book brings the life of dr. holiday and his associates into full color. The reading of this text is entertaining, complete with fabulous accents from the south. each character has own voice. if I had to knock one star off, it was simply because the final closing of the book which has obviously been covered in other novels and historical accounts was quite lacking. However the first 22 chapters were delightful.
