A Fun Suspenseful Adventure!
Revisado: 03-27-14
Where does Carpe DiEmily rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I vote Carpe diEmily as "Best Character Development"! It is number one in this area.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Simone was pretty awesome, but my absolute favorite was Emily. She starts off a bit stuffy and judgmental and assuming, but then grows so much to realize all she was wrong about. You really have to hear the whole story to completely grasp the beauty of the character development. What amazed me was how convincingly she was portrayed! You really believe her as this boring judgmental girl but you soon learn she is just sheltered and as she has these experiences over the course of the story she really turns her life around and becomes on of the most exciting characters I know!
What does Gillian Vance bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Of all of the titles Gillian has narrated for Riley, this one was the BEST fit for her voice. She really captured Emily's personality here.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes and No. On one hand, I wanted to know what happened next! However, it was such a fun read that instead I listed to it whenever I needed a pick me up. There's a bunch of small adventures that are all part of a bigger adventure. Almost like a TV series! In fact, I could definitely see this one being a TV series :)

Historia
What if you could know exactly what your friends are thinking? High school student Winter Reynolds can, but there's a catch... She can only read people's thoughts when she's kissing them. When a member of the track team is murdered, Winter has an opportunity to use her special ability to find the killer. Trouble is, kissing everyone on the track team isn't such a good idea when you have a new boyfriend. Talk about complications!

ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE BOOKS!
Revisado: 03-27-14
What did you love best about Into You?
EVERYTHING. I don't usually answer these questions this way, but this one I must. THIS BOOK IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES EVER! It made me laugh, it made me cry, it made my palms sweat and my heart pound! It was a fun paranormal mystery PERFECT for the YA audience. Think Easy A meets Sabrina the Teenage Witch. (No witches in this story, it's completely UNIQUE paranormal, but the fun sense of magic is there). I just adored this and the characters. If I had to pick one book by Riley to read over and over again, it would be this one. I can't believe it's not a movie already! SUCH a clever concept!
Which scene was your favorite?
Ummmm.... All of them?! Okay, but some of the character building ones were great. One of the most memorable was when she is outside the club and meets that guy and realize she was wrong about him. That's the thing with Riley's books. She really plays on perceptions, how we don't ever know someone's whole story and they might not be who we thought they were. We might have thought poorly of them when really they are a great person. She did this with Carpe DiEmily too.
If you could take any character from Into You out to dinner, who would it be and why?
There's a set of parents in this book that are HILARIOUSLY outdated in their thinking. I would love to go out to dinner with them just because they would leave you with a lot to talk about once they were gone HAHA.
Any additional comments?
Riley, please please please write more books like this one! I'm first in line to buy my copy!

Great Satire on Fifty Shades of Grey!
Revisado: 03-27-14
Where does Fifty Shades of Fifty Shades of Grey rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I love all of Riley Ford's books, and this short story was no exception. It's top quality and was a hilarious adventure.
What did you like best about this story?
The characters! I mean, poor Ben, he was really just a mess. Being Dominant is SO not his calling. I enjoyed the playful approach to the story and how it made a satire out of people who think BDSM is just something you DO. Nope, it's who you are, and Ben is NOT the guy for this role. Which is what makes it so damn hilarious!
Have you listened to any of Gillian Vance’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I haven't listened to Gillian Vance outside of the books she has done for Riley, but she does a good job.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
YES! This book made me laugh TONS! OMG, I was really mortified for this poor couple on more than one occasion. I'm SO glad I wasn't in their shoes!
Any additional comments?
Riley really knows how to make a gal laugh <3

a new favorite!
Revisado: 03-22-14
What did you love best about The Forever Girl?
The romance between Charles and Sophia! Even though the plot is about more than their romance the scene between them were awesome!
Who was your favorite character and why?
I don't want to give away any plot twists but I will say my favorite character was the one that was part of the biggest plot twist. I did NOT see that coming. She was nuts and yet I felt a little heart broken for her at the same time. I loved reading her story.
Which character – as performed by Sarah McKee – was your favorite?
Sophia! The narrator NAILED the voice for this character! I hope she will do the future books in the series because I can't see anyone else doing Sophia's voice now.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Absolutely! I kept telling myself I would listen to just one more chapter but that was impossible because of the suspense and mystery and there was always a cliffhanger at the end of each chapter I had to know what happened next!
Any additional comments?
I like that this book didn't sound robotic like some audiobooks do. It felt like the actual character was telling me the story. Sarah McKee did an amazing job and the author did too this was an amazing story!
