Dads, listen up!
Revisado: 07-25-23
This is very well written. I was really glad to hear Eddie narrate his own book. It really hits home when you hear him start to break down at different times in this book. I can relate to Eddie’s struggles as a Career first responder and a veteran. His words made me tear up even before i heard him start to break down. Dads, please don’t be so focused on your careers and activities that you lose sight of the important things. GOD created us to lead and leadership starts in our home. I listened to Eddie’s book every chance i could and found myself driving longer just to keep listening. This book is a must read or listen! GOD has a plan for you. Often it’s not what we think.
Eddie, if you ever get to read this review please know that your story will help many Dad’s become better men. Thank You!

Worth buying!
Revisado: 09-23-22
I bought the trilogy because i love post-apocalyptic stories. I was going to be spending a lot of time alone in my Jeep and it listened to all three. What a story! The narrator, Kevin Pierce is perfect as well. I highly recommend these audiobooks!

Recollections of a Private Soldier in the Army of the Potomac

Historia
The memoirs of Civil War generals are some of our most common sources that we look at when learning about this tumultuous conflict. But what about the voices of the common soldier? Frank Wilkeson aimed to rectify this and reassert the importance of looking at the accounts of the men who carried the muskets, served the guns, and rode into the heat of battle. Recollections of a Private Soldier in the Army of the Potomac is a wonderfully refreshing account of the American Civil War that takes listeners to the heart of what it would have been like to have served in the front ranks.

Domestic Enemies: The Reconquista is a novel set in the not-too-distant future in the American Southwest, during a period of low-intensity civil war. The action takes place between Texas and California, but the story is mainly centered around New Mexico. Domestic Enemies: The Reconquista is a sequel to Enemies Foreign and Domestic, but it may be enjoyed on its own.

Revisado: 10-24-16
Mr Brackens books should be made into movies. The narrators voice is perfect for telling this story. Don't listen to other reviews regarding the narration. I've read all his books and I am working on listening to them all on audible. I wish there were more in the EFD story.

Historia
The story begins on opening day of the NFL season, when bullets begin to rain down upon the upper deck of a packed football stadium. A panic stampede ensues, leading to mass casualties. The alleged sniper is found holding a smoking assault rifle, and is killed by a police marksman. One week later, Congress bans the private possession of all semi-automatic assault rifles. Gun owners are given one week to turn in their semi-automatic rifles, or face a five year mandatory sentence.

Excellent story!
Revisado: 09-22-16
I have read all of Mr Brackens books. They are well written with very real life characters. The story lines are very believable. I am also listening to them again on audible because it has been a few years. The narration is good. There are some times where you may need to adjust the volume but the voice of the narrator fits in well with the storyline. I highly recommend this series.

Historia
Abandoned by their government, the men and women of the American garrison struggled against impossible military odds, rampant disease, and slow starvation to delay inevitable surrender by the largest American military force ever. Rather than picturing these defenders as little more than helpless victims of an overwhelmingly powerful and sadistic enemy-as most previous books about the Philippines campaign have done- Undefeated credits American troops with the unexcelled heroism and indomitable spirit they displayed under the worst imaginable conditions.
