Anyone in a medical field will hate the ending

It is a cute romance book. Nothing too out of the ordinary. The ending though made me mad. It’s like the author thinks HIPPA is just a suggestion in the medical field and not taken as seriously as it is.
Also the female character came off immature to me. She was so insightful with psychology yet how she treated Emit showed a lack of maturity.
Other than those two things it was cute. It was interesting to see another point of view on race and growing up “different” and having to learn to adapt.

Great start to a new series

This is a new series by Darynda and what a great start. Love the detail of the characters so you really get to know them. Love the chapter titles. Love the storyline. Only part I didn’t like it it ending on a cliffhanger and knowing the next one won’t be out for a while.

Why did they change the narrator????

Pushed through it...

It was an easy listen, not too exciting. Characters were cute and well developed. The romance though was too overwhelming, not written well, and took away from the story not complimented it. To add to the slow story the narrators voice dragged it out even more. Think I will stick to the miss fortune series.

Another Plum mystery... The Deli was a nice change of pace.

Didn’t like the cross over, it wasn’t needed at all for the story line. If you are hoping for a change in the romance department of Ms. Plum, you won’t find it here. Otherwise, same kind of story. I did enjoy the antics of the deli, that was refreshing and new. Nice try on a cliffhanger at the end but didn’t leave me anxious for 26.

I love Jana DeLeon and have read/listened to all of her books (some multiple times). This one just seemed to fall short. There is a main story but no little supporting stories. It is an okay plot, but nothing like her Miss Fortune series. The narrator should have been a female in my opinion since the main character is female. I am giving 3 stars because it is a good book, just nothing I would write home about.

The book could have been half the length if the author would have cut even half the sexual innuendos, and flirting between the 2 characters. Even with half it would have made the point. Also would have like if the author had a more Hispanic accent when it came to the Spanish characters.

A cozy book, nothing over the top

This was a nice book, nothing too special about it. Pretty easy to put the pieces together to know the ending. The performance could use a little work in such that when someone is eating the reader does not need to sound like her mouth is full too, we get it, don't need to hear it too. It actually happened a lot... drove me crazy by the end. Good book overall, if you are just looking for an easy listen.

Okay story, performance did not match character.

To elaborate on the story, it jumped around and if you are like me and listen when driving, you may have a hard time following the story when you decide to pay attention to the road... the narrator had a more masculine voice than I thought the character would be like. At the beginning I thought I could get over the voice, but I never could completely.

FTM this book was great!

I loved the whole book, so funny! Only regret is I did not buy the hard cover! Author refers to previous chapters when making a point. Will for sure read again!
