Historia
Years ago, Evangeline Hollis spent a blistering night with a darkly seductive man she can’t forget. But that evening of addictive pleasure has become a disaster of biblical proportions: She’s been branded with the Mark of Cain. Now Eve is thrust into a world where sinners are marked and drafted to kill demons. Her former one-night stand, Cain, is now her mentor - and his equally sexy brother Abel is her new boss.

I liked it
Revisado: 01-12-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, it's a refreshing change from the "twilight" and "true blood"-esc theme I've been seeing in paranormal fantasy novels lately. This book puts a twist on the bible and isn't preachy or boring. There is some strong sexual content but i'm ok with that because it's not a romance novel. Its a good story its worth a listen.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Alek is every girl's wet dream and on top of that is actually a good guy
Have you listened to any of Jill Redfield’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No I have not to my knowledge she's pretty good except when it comes to different accents she stumbles through them and doesn't pronounce words correctly all the time which is a major pet peeve of mine I think if the story wasn't so good it would have bothered me more
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
not really

Historia
After dying and being revived with the experimental drug Returne, Bryn Davis is theoretically free to live her unlife - with regular doses to keep her going. But Bryn knows that the government has every intention of keeping a tight lid on Pharmadene's life-altering discovery, no matter the cost. Thankfully, some things have changed for the better; her job at the rechristened Davis Funeral Home is keeping her busy and her fragile romance with Patrick McCallister is blossoming.

Wow so crazy!!! (Crazy good!)
Revisado: 12-30-13
Where does Two Weeks' Notice rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Part of my top 10 favorite series (and I am EXTREMELY well read)
What was one of the most memorable moments of Two Weeks' Notice?
When the company started killing all the employees and bringing them back to blackmail them it was just like...a car wreck so awful but you can't stop looking at it I like how Rachel Caine wasn't afraid to tell the "ugly" parts in detail most authors skim over that
Which scene was your favorite?
Couldn't say it was just one crazy ride
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I was upset to think that they had repeatedly raped and killed and revived her sister very gruesome to think about

Different in a good way
Revisado: 12-30-13
If you could sum up Working Stiff in three words, what would they be?
Unique Zombie Adventure
Would you recommend Working Stiff to your friends? Why or why not?
Yes! It's interesting and different than anything I've read this year no vampires no magic just science fiction love it!
What does Julia Whelan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The character's personalities are enhanced and better portrayed with her narration than if I'd read it myself
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Very shocked at how they just killed her like she was nothing it was kind of personally upsetting to me bc she seemed like a very good person

Worst.Narrator.Ever
Revisado: 12-30-13
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I have no idea if the book was good or not bc I couldn't get last the first few chapters the narration was boring and robotic and awful
What was most disappointing about Sarah J. Maas’s story?
Not sure didn't really get very far don't even really have any idea what it was about except something in the hunger games neighborhood
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Poor narration awful voices monotone boring boring boring
What character would you cut from Throne of Glass?
Not sure

"All it would take was my true name being mentioned after dark, and it would float back to my aunt. She was the Queen of Air and Darkness, and that meant that anything said in the dark was hers to hear, eventually. The fact that spotting the missing Elven American Princess had become more popular than spotting Elvis helped."

Dissappointed
Revisado: 04-23-13
What did you like best about A Kiss of Shadows? What did you like least?
I like fae stories and Laurel k Hamilton but this was long boring plot lines with too much sexual overture. It would make a better porn than a book.
What was most disappointing about Laurell K. Hamilton’s story?
The story was slow to start and dragged on and then there was all this sex with gross characters
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Laural Merlington?
Tavia Gilbert or Cynthia Holloway
Could you see A Kiss of Shadows being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
If it was on tv it would have to be on the spice channel

Never been more disappointed in a vampire series
Revisado: 12-03-12
What disappointed you about Turned?
There were little to no refrences to what kind of vampire lore she was using for the series and I read the next two books just to make sure I didn't like it and the continuing story like makes no sense there's no continuity of the storyline and her writing gets more redundant and amaturish while shes trying to make it look like the charachters are evolving its like....a 13 year old girl with a 5th grade reading level and a thesaurus wrote it
Would you ever listen to anything by Morgan Rice again?
No thanks
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Brianna Knickerbocker?
Lorilei King or Tavia Gilbert
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
No it made no sense read the next 2 books and it makes even less sense its annoying
Any additional comments?
I want my money back that was awful

too short and very Kenyon generic
Revisado: 08-19-12
What would have made Time Untime better?
the first half was so boring and then by the time it got good she threw her generic love story formula in there and ended the book even the sex scenes are predictable if you've read more than 3 of her books
What could Sherrilyn Kenyon have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
not make me wait so long for a generic short cookie cutter romance novel that will be my last Kenyon purchase believe that!
How did the narrator detract from the book?
very monotone narration made it hard to pay attention to and he pronounced alot of the characters names wrong and Talon is Celtic not english so he has like a scotish/irishy accent theres no reason he should have sounded like Pierce Brosnan
What character would you cut from Time Untime?
i don't know i was confused for half the book who was who because all the guy voices sounded the same
Any additional comments?
i want my money back the narrator was awful

Historia
Sixteen-year-old Zoey Redbird has just been Marked as a fledgling vampire and joins the House of Night, a school where she will train to become an adult vampire. That is, if she makes it through the Change - and not all of those who are Marked do. It sucks to begin a new life, especially away from her friends, and on top of that, Zoey is no ordinary fledgling. She has been chosen as special by the vampire Goddess Nyx.

Not as good as Richelle Mead but its ok
Revisado: 07-15-12
What did you like best about Marked? What did you like least?
I liked the different take on vampirism but there was little to no back story explaining how humans knew about vampires and magic if society accepted them or how they really interacted with society.
Who was your favorite character and why?
My favorite character was grandma Redbird she reminds me of my own grandma and was really sweet to Zoey.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
omg i hated this narrator!!! what is she Canadian?!!! She sounded totally bored for the first few chapters and i almost quit listening right away. Also, its hard to believe Zoey was a real Star Trek fan when she mispronounced "Bajoran" when talking about her favorite hoodie. Her odd pronunciations of simple words like "been" or "drama" Tavia Gilbert would have done a wayyyy better job. If stuff like that doesn't bother you its a pretty good book not worth the price though.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Probably not im more of a Richelle Mead or Jeaniene Frost fan their stories are way more entralling...well maybe i'd've liked this story better if i didn't have to deal with the crappy narrator.
