This was a great book but made more so by some excellent chapters and digressions that were not about Godel. For instance there is an excellent chapter on the history of the Austro Hungarian empire.

Like with his other books, Carlo Rovelli is amazing at explaining physics concepts in an engaging and succinct way, weaving in stories of the physicists, mathematicians, philosophers and others who participated in the intellectual history of quantum mechanics.
I particularly love that unlike many other physicists, Rovelli recognizes the mutual debt that philosophy and physics ("natural philosophy") owe to each other, rather than that philosophy is irrelevant or to be dismissed.
More than anything this feels like a Pragmatic or Constructivist account of Quantum Mechanics. Remarkable to come full circle like this.

I listen to lots of audiobooks, in all categories. Classics, modern novels, best seller non fiction, science writing, and science fiction. but this was the best audiobook I've listened to! Fascinating, clear, informative and occasionally funny. I absolutely loved this and wish I had this professor, might have inspired me to get more into languages.

this was an amazing reflection on time by the great physicist Carlo Rovelli with an amazing performance by Benedict Cumberbatch. love his reading style. the book itself reveals that Rovelli is rare if not unique in his mastery of both physics and philosophy.
