Incredible story beginning to the end!!

Will's story is the same as my family's story. So many similarities it is shocking. I thoroughly enjoyed every second of this book. Will and Jada are my favorite couple superheroes!! I not only loved the story but also its composition! I laughed, cried, gasped, and even reminisced and bobbed my head to the beats of the hits!! In answer to your question Will, no your intro of Jada and your grandma to each other was not funny! 😉

I enjoyed this read so much. Not only because of Jada's incredible story but also because of the reflective component after each chapter. It was refreshing to hear her being vulnerable in sharing her stories while also delivering reflective questions for the reader to ponder for themselves in their own healing journey. I will listen to it again with a notepad.

I hope I will one day meet Gabourey!! She IS the bomb like Obama proclaimed!! I enjoyed her story so much. Hearing how her role as Precious was ordained was mindblowing! I never wanted to see the movie but now I do. Gabourey is hysterical and honest about it all! Her transparency is refreshing and raw. That's how I like it!!

Very easy to listen to his voice. Common's story is inspiring and he is authentic with his delivery. I enjoyed it from the intro to the epilogue! There's poetry and music in between chapters, of course - it's Common! A real class act!
