Historia
Rob lives by the maxim that there's no such thing as over. And something's certainly not over for him. An unknown, unseen enemy is stalking him, with tragic consequences for his son and ex-wife. As Rob and Mike close ranks to protect their families, they find themselves up against industrial espionage, two warring scientists, and a blood feud that won't end until somebody pays with their life. Their best hope of putting the past to rest forever could lie in the unique genetic skills of a runaway teenager.

Stellar

I liked the narrator on this one better than Going Grey. Same ultimate quality story as the author's other work, for sure. This is really top notch stuff that keeps you listening addictively from start to finish.

Historia
Ian isn't crazy. Life would be a lot simpler if he was. He's eighteen, on the run, and scared - the shape-shifting delusions he's had since childhood have turned out to be real. He's the result of a dynamic mimicry project intended to help undercover agents "go grey" and blend in unnoticed. Now the biotech company wants its property back, and the only people he can trust are two private military contractors sent to find him...

Top Tier Storytelling
Revisado: 01-15-25
This is solid Karen Traviss work. fantastic plot setup, deep character development and relationships, and a great balance of action, mystery, moral dilemma, and humor. This is stuff that will get you thinking and asking questions, like the best of her work.
I think I was expecting a great spy thriller and this is so much more to this story than that. I was legitimately "wowed"!

Keeps Your Attention
Revisado: 12-11-23
This was an interesting read, overall. I did not mind the time skipping so much, as it felt like progress more than missing out on details. I found myself so caught up in the moment to moment situations and characters that I didn't realize until very late in the book that nothing was really getting resolved. The never ending war between both sides is a given (if it ended they couldn't sell more books and games lol), but the specific plot to this book felt untouched or unaddressed for so long due to everyone's right-here-right-now missions. In the end, I do feel there was great closure and the author actually buttoned it all up quite nicely.

Great Book
Revisado: 06-23-23
This was a great book, both as an edition to Assassin's Creed lore and as a standalone story outside that universe. It fits everything a good Assassin's Creed story has, including some nice little tie-ins to some other games and stories.
The narrator is exceptionally good! She was fantastic in Sword Of The White Horse, as well. I am positive that her performances on any book she does will be top notch.

Kind Of Boring, But Serves Its Purpose
Revisado: 03-15-22
Can't exactly put my finger on it, but this one was just kind of boring. I suppose I wasn't a big fan of the sudden switches between vision, flashback and present, all of which get blurred quite often. Deckard is super lame and miserable, and that's not particularly enthralling, either. As a backstory for Leah, this book serves its purpose just fine, so there's that. I like Scott Brick from the Halo series, so that was also positive. All in all, this book was OK, so if you're a fan of Diablo 3 or have already read the rest of the books in the series, I would say go ahead and knock this one out.

Great In Every Way
Revisado: 07-14-20
Great on every level. Narrator was fantastic, both in range of unique character voices and engaging rather than monotonous. The story went by fast, which is a testament to the well-written sequence of events, interesting characters, and balance between action and mystery. Looking forward to the next 2 books!

Decent
Revisado: 08-12-15
An ok book due to a deeper look into Juno's side of thing's. Loads of fan service all throughout with many special guest appearances. Like the game, many major questions are left unanswered. The seemingly uncanonical ending blew my mind! Maybe there js supposed to be a 3rd installment to elaborate on what happens next?

A Refreshing Escape From The Usual Suspects
Revisado: 07-22-15
It's always a surprising joy to read a Star Wars novel based on characters outside the typical movie roster and see it turn out well. It feels like digging for copper and finding gold instead. It moved a little slow at times, repeating the same old situations, arguments and mysteries, but the ever-expanding plot and rich, compelling characters more than make up for those moments. Great stuff here!

Root for the Bad Guys
Revisado: 06-16-15
I was never a Tarkin fan, nor was I interested in him. By the end of this book, neither of those statements remained true. I was quickly intrigued by the life, trials and methodology of Tarkin. A much deeper man than I anticipated. The book will have you standing at proud attention to the Imperial March and saying "Die, rebel scum!"
